Athaliah's Story
Nico's POV
I was starting to think that it might not have been a good idea to bring Angel to Chiron. He looked panicked when I had explained what had recently transpired and showed him the golden pocket watch. I couldn't help but feel that he was hiding something.
"It couldn't be!" he exclaimed, as I set Angel down on one of the couches in the big house. "They've been lost to us for centuries."
"Who's been lost?" I asked. "What's going on Chiron?"
He looked at me carefully for a moment, then said, "My dear boy, I believe you may have found a child of time."
I stared at him. "A child of what now?"
"Time, Nico, Time," he said. "We thought they had died on centuries ago though."
I blinked, almost sure that the old centaur had lost it. That's when Angel sat up. Only, it wasn't exactly Angel. Her eyes were glowing gold and she spoke with the voice of a child. "We did not die out, young centaur, we merely faded into a more hidden existence."
I stared at her. "I'm sorry did you just call Chiron young?"
She ignored me, and spoke only to Chiron. "I have little time, child, so if you want others to be privy to this conversation, I suggest you call them immediately."
This was highly confusing, but not as confusing as Clarisse calling Angel 'Angie' when she walked in with the other cabin counselors.
Angel or whoever is was smiled at her. "Sorry, Clarisse, your cousin is still currently unconscious, I'm using her body to communicate with you all at the moment."
"Wait cousin?" I asked.
Clarisse didn't say a word, and Angel only smiled at me. "Angel and Clarisse are very close cousins, are at least, they used to be."
"I was told she had died six year ago!" snapped Clarisse, only confusing me more.
Chiron stamped his hooves, gathering everyone's attention. "We have quite an unusual guest today, Time, herself, has come to speak with us. I ask you all pay attention and respect her as she can kill you with a single thought."
Silence filled the room, then everyone took several step back, away from Angel, who only laughed. "Actually, in this form, my name is Athaliah, Chiron, and my abilities a bit more resevered--I might have to actually wave my hand to kill the infants."
Jason looked at her uneasily. "Why did you call us infants?"
Athaliah's smiles were starting to get borderline creepy. "I am so old, Jason Grace, even Zeus is a child to me, think about what that makes you." She paused for a moment, then continued talking. "I am here in the form I am taking, because we the humani first inhabited this world my original form was thought to be rather--hmm--I don't think there is a word for it anymore." She shrugged. "Regardless, I had to get rid of it. I, now, inhabit one humani for the duration of their life until they die and I pass on to the next chosen humani. Currently, I inhabit Angel's body." She looked at me, a knowing smirk on her face. "Don't worry son of Hades, I usually stay dormant--you'll have your girl friend back soon, I promise."
I couldn't stop the blush coming to my face, and I swear Clarisse wanted to kill me right there, and it didn't help that she whispered, "If you ruin her, I'll destroy you di Angelo." Yay, me. <---Sarcasm
Athaliah continued on. "However, when I tried to teach her how to wield her abilities as a child, I found that something, or someone was blocking me. Eventually, I managed to discover, that Angel had two deities living inside her."
"Wait," I snapped. "Please don't tell me the Morrigan is real, and is living inside her, too."
Athaliah glared at me. "I don't like telling lies boy!" she snarled. "And I'd treat the Morrigan as a very deadly threat if I were you! The last time, I lost the inner battle to protect Angel from her, she went on a killing spree for three years strait--scared Angel to the point of wanting to end her life!"
Silence filled the room. Athaliah still spoke angrily. "Fortunately, Angel's twenty-fifth birthday is coming up and the Morrigan has grown weak, in her battle with me--she will be forced to leave Angel's body on that day--however--there is much danger in this." Her voice quieted, she opened her mouth as if to continue, but no sound came out. Fear filled her fading golden eyes. The deep brown, I'd known Angel to have were coming back.
"NO!" she cried out in her normal voice. "Athaliah! Come back! You didn't finish!" Angel groaned and curled up into a ball. I moved forward to comfort her, but Clarisse got there first.
"Angie," she said. "Don't worry, I'm sure Athaliah will tell you everything you need to know," she said kindly, surprising everyone in the room.
Percy spoke up right then. "Well, that was confusing," he said. "Does anyone else did have no close what Angel is?"
Clarisse glared at him. "Did you know pay attention, Jackson?" she snapped. "Chiron told us before we got here, that she was a child of Time!"
"And that is not at all helpful." This earned him a spear pointed at his throat.
Angel intervened. "Stand down, C.C.," she said, without lifting her head.
"C.C.?" asked Percy.
Angel stood angrily, and waved her hand towards the door. "LEAVE JACKSON!" She commanded.
I blinked. Angel would always surprise me.

This is all I'm posting for a while--I've been commissioned for a heavily-embroidered dress for next few days--it'll take more time for the next chapter---I will leave you with something to ponder though---one is basic questions implied in the above chapter, but also, the next chapter will have Angel acting like a child--try and figure out why (Alcohol is surprisingly not involved)
Also be happy spell-check exists---because i can't fucking spell--you guys would be so confused if spell check didn't exist!
