Find My Own Way

Look before you start comparing me to my brother or sister because I am also a son of Hades, let me get something straight. I am NOT Nico. And I am most certainly NOT Hazel. I am my own person.

My name is Wes. I don't have a last name. I don't have any other family other than Nico and Hazel. Or if I do, I don't remember. But that's not the story I'm supposed to be telling here.

I've always been a bit of a loner and a bit more on the darker side of the world. But I'm not like Nico or Hazel. Those two--they're heroes. I'm not, nor do I particularly want to be.

Sure I train. I want to be able to protect myself as much as the next person. But everyone expects me to be powerful because of who my dad is and because I'm related to Nico and Hazel. The heroes of the war against Gaia.

I have no interest in this. I just want to be a photographer and to fall for someone. To live a normal human life. I dont want to be a hero. Heroes die. I don't want my destiny.

But everyone expects me to be the hero my siblings were. Everyone except Zoey. Zoey
