I Shouldn't Be Alive
Prologue
Time seemed to stand still. The eighteen wheeler was flying towards our small pickup, and I knew there was no escape. A strangled, alarmed noise came out of me as I gripped my mom's arm. Her dark gray eyes widened in surprise and shock as the truck roared toward us. I squeezed my eyes tight and covered my neck with my hands. A loud crash of metal on metal and my mother's screams were the last thing I heard before blacking out.
