Zoe's POV

I slept at the infirmary at Zia's side.I didn't wake up until after lunch the next day.
I went to see the boy when I left the infirmary.I knocked on the door.He opened it and smiled when he saw it was me.I walked in and he closed the door.I kissed him on the cheek.He wrapped his arm around my waist and we sat down on his bed.
I say,"I'm worried about Zia.I don't know what's wrong with her.Even Chiron doesn't know,except that she's been poisoned."
I start to cry.That's the reason I came-I needed to confide in someone.
"Matthew,what if she dies?" There's a wobbly edge to my voice.
Matthew hugs me and says gently,"Zoe,I don't know what's wrong with Zia.But I'll tell you one thing."
I raise my head and stare at him through tear-streaked eyes.
"Whatever happens,I will be here to help you all the way."
I smile sadly and lay my head on his shoulder.He hugs me and starts braiding my hair down my back.
I lay there with him until the dinner bell sounds.Then he helps me up and,holding my hand,walks with me to dinner. We sit down at the Poseidon table together,ignoring the looks thrown our way.
We toss scraps in the fire pit and eat.
When we're done,the whole camp gathers at the fire pit and socializes.We sit together and don't talk,just sit.Then a girl comes over and says to me,"You must be Zoe."
I stare at her.She realizes I doesn't know who she is and says,"I'm Dawn,daughter of Hypnos."
She sits next to me and starts talking faster than I can listen or even respond.I look at Matthew. He says under his breath to me,"Just humor her."
Then a bright light engulfs us all.When it recedes,a tall man is standing in it's place,wearing greek armor with a lightning bolt insignia on his shoulder.The air ripples with electricity around him,and campers hair stands on end.
Chiron clears his throat. "Zeus."
Zeus regards Chiron with a serious expression.
I whisper to Matthew, "Is that THE Zeus? The god?"
He nods and says, "It must be serious.Zeus has never just shown up here."
Zeus starts talking. "I have come to order a quest."
Campers start murmuring,then talking,then yelling in disbelief.
Zeus roars, "SILENCE!"
Needless to say, there was sudden quiet through the bleachers.
He clears his throat, then continues talking.
"A quest to determine the fate of the world-and,more importantly,the fate of my daughter."
A second of silence as the news is absorbed.Then,deafening noise.
I cover my ears with my hands.Dawn's mouth is moving a mile a minute.Matthew stares at Zeus in shock.
"SSSSIIIIIIIIIIlLLLLLEEEEEEENNCCEEE!!!!"Zeus roars a second time.
Immediately,all the campers shut up.
"YOU." Zeus says,pointing…at me?
Everyone's attention is directed at me.I wish I could disappear-just sink through the ground.
"WILL GO TO THE ORACLE."
I stand up tentatively.
"CHOOSE YOUR COMPANIONS."
I point at Matthew.He stands up next to me.
I think for a minute.I didn't know anyone here except for Matthew and Zia-and Dawn.
I almost point at her,then I see a girl at the edge of the forest.She waves at me and points at herself.It's clear what she wants me to do.Should I?
Slowly,I come to a decision.I point at Dawn.
The girl's face falls.She walks into the forest.
Zeus says,"THEY ARE CHOSEN."
He disappears as he came-in a flash of light.
As soon as he's gone,everyone starts talking.Matthew and Dawn manage to get me out of the crowd.We walk on the path in the forest until we get to the Oracle's cave.Matthew pushes me toward the entrance.I turn around and say,"What are you doing?"
Matthew says reluctantly,"You have to find out the prophecy by yourself."
I nod and walk into the cave.
Woah.
It's totally decked out.
On one side,a gigantic flat-screen covers the wall.On the other,there's a doorway.Through it I can hear chanting.I go through it and see a girl with red hair.She's standing with her back to me speaking what sounds like a spell.
I walk to her and touch her shoulder.She spins around."Who are you?"
"I'm Zoe," I say. "I need a prophecy."
She smiles and says,"That's what I do." Then she swoons.
Green mist pours out of her mouth.Her eyes glow,and I hear snakes hissing.

"One that is cursed to never be seen,
Shall find what she wants and be more than a dream.
When sisters fight to the gate of light,
The question that's asked will finally be right.
The son of dreams must find a way,
To make the hated one pay."

The green mist snaked it's way back into her mouth and she collapsed.I ran toward her and placed her on a stool.She seemed fine,except for being unconscious.I left her and walked out.

Sooooo this is a long chapter.
And yes,I made up the prophecy.
