Love Tree

Annabeth POV
Today is July 12, in other words, my birthday. I am kind of upset, because I haven’t seen Percy in all day. Did he forgot my birthday? I thought NO. Annabeth stop thinking that, he could never forget your birthday. Right?
“Stop thinking that!” I said in laud voice.
“Are you going crazy? Wise girl?” Percy said behind me.
He is perfect for me, I know it. He is always there, in good and in bad moments, even in embarrassment moments. My all body shake each time he kiss me, hug me, talk to me, or even when we fight. Since we came back from the Tartarus, there are things I don’t understand pretty well, but there´s one thing I know for sure since then, I LOVE with all my heart to Percy Jackson and I always will.
“Percy, I didn’t hear you coming” I said blushing and looking down.
“It´s fine, I'm not mad, if you look into my eyes, and give me a kiss” Percy said placing his hands on my face.
“If there’s no option. I guess I´ll have to do it” I had just finish the sentence, when I felt his warm, soft and salty lips touching mines.
“Happy Birthday, Annabeth” He said when we pull apart.
“I thought you forgot it!”
“Hey, I may forgot many dates, but your birthday? Never”
“Mmmm…I believe you!”
Percy stay with me the rest of the afternoon. When I asked him about my present, he said “Later”. I wonder what it would be.
“It´s almost time, let’s go!” He said really excited.
“What are you talking about?” I said while he pull me deeper in the forest.
He stop in the middle of the forest, and start smiling at me.
“Hey, we must go. It´s getting darker, and…cooler” Annabeth said.
“Are you cold? Because if you are, I can fix it!” Percy answer.
I didn’t understand what he was talking about, but before I could said something, he took out a picnic basket.
“Percy, what are you doing?” I ask while he put a mantel on the floor, and star taking out the things.
“Preparing your present” he answer and finish preparing the picnic dinner.
We didn’t talk that much we just sit down and start eating. Once we finish, we lay near a tree and start watching the stars.
“The stars look beautiful tonight” I said watching the sky.
“No more than you!” he said and then he kiss my cheek.
“Percy, stop saying things you don’t believe”
“Who says I don’t believe that?”
“ME”
“Why do you think that? I mean you are everything to me!”
“Really? Prove it!”
“OK, sure I will prove it!”
He sat down, but this time facing the tree that was behind us. He took a knife and made a heart in the tree´s crust. In the inner part of the heart he wrote his name.
“Is your turn, write your name” Percy told me giving me the knife.
“Sure” I said accepting the knife. And then I wrote my name.
“Now this is our Love Tree!” he said smiling.
“I don’t get it!”
“It means that the tree will grow and get stronger as our love!” he lean and kissed me. ”Did this convince you, or I need to do more?”
“Not necessary, this prove a lot!” I said and kissed him again.
When we pulled apart we lay on the mantel again and continue admiring the stars. No regrets at all, because it was the BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER.
