One Last Kiss

Date Night

Today was the Anniversary of the first time I ever saw Annabeth. I still remember exactly what she was wearing, it was a pair of ripped jeans and her camp half-blood shirt. I still remember her blonde hair glistening in the sunlight. Back then I never had the courage to ask her out, until the time we played capture the flag and I actually beat her. Then I realized she's only being what her mother wanted her to be. So I asked her out and she said, "Of course I will seaweed brain!"

I had tonight all planned out we would go on a picnic down by the lake, then we would dance under the pavilion. Which I had set up with lights and rose petals after Piper left me alone last night. I wanted to make Annabeth feel like she was more special than anyone. The truth was that in reality, she was the most perfect girl I had ever met.

Exactly an hour had passed, it was 8:30 their date started at 8:40. He couldn't wait to see the way she did her hair or the outfit she was wearing, because no matter what she would wear, she would be beautiful.

She arrived and she looked gorgeous. "Shall we eat," I asked her. "I would love to Percy!' And so I escorted her to the lake where my blanket and basket were laid out with a row of candles on each side. She looked up at me and smiled. She said, "How did you manage to do all of this in so little time." "I worked all night on making it perfect, you know I would do anything for you because I love you more than anything on the planet!"

We sat down and ate for awhile talking amongst one another. About our future and our past and our life together in this very movement. toward the end of dinner she leaned in and kissed me and I felt that surge of energy that I always felt when we kissed. But the funny thing is, is that I only felt that passionate surge of energy when I kissed Annabeth.

After dinner was done we danced until it was well past dark and I watched the lights twinkle and reflect of her beautiful hair. I kissed her goodnight and I walked her to her cabin and said, "Thanks for being my beautiful and wise girlfriend," she leaned in and said, "Thanks for being my seaweed brain." And she kissed me goodnight and went inside.
