Dust
Dust to Dust
Man, the past few years went by so fast. I felt so young, like I was still a teen traveling to China for some weird plant to save my home. We did get the cure to the infection, which Leo managed to make with the help of Captain Faśio, who knew a surprising amount of stuff about plants. New Rome was cured in a few days, with only a few casualties.
It's been... what, three, four years since the China trip? I can't remember. It's all pretty hazy.
"Allen?" Dove called from our bedroom. "Could you come here for a moment?" I hastily got up from the couch and headed down the hallway of our new home we had bought, Carressing my wedding ring (which I do a lot). Dove and I had gotten married a few months ago. It wasn't a big wedding. Just my mom, dad and sis, along with a bunch of Dove's family members, but it was nice. Although Dove didn't want us to release Any Doves, which I found hilarious.
I walked into the bedroom and hugged Dove from behind, kissing her head. "What is it?" I asked with her hair in my mouth. She slowly turned around, holding her stomach. She was holding a long, white object.
"Don't freak." She said, holding up the aperatus. "But... we're having a child, Allen." She said, slowly smiling. I was blatantly shocked, and I was so surprised, I back away from Dove, hitting my head on the dresser behind me.
"Are you sure?" I asked. She squealed and ran over to hug me.
"Yes!" She said with excitement.
How am I going to tell mom and dad?
