Chapter Seven:

POV AMONETTE



In the darkness, eyes closed, I sit crossed legged, chanting in whispers. “Ghosts who kills daughters of Magic. Ghosts who kill-”
“Amonette.”
I stop chanting and slowly open my eyes and stare at the purple flames flickering in front of me. I turn my head and see Eternity standing a distance away.Once she realises that I wasn’t going to speak she continues, “Are you try to find the ghost that murdered Lilly?”


I turn my head and stare at the purple flames and close my eyes again, murder was the correct word, “Yes, but this one has been allusive, the mist hasn’t revealed him yet.”
“What are you going to do?” Eternity asks.
“Keep searching, until I find him.“What if you can’t?”
“Then,” I pause to take a breath, “we’ll find the real killer.” I continue to chant in my whispers.


“Hannah doesn’t seem like the person that would lie.”
Dragos. I think.


I imagine him leaning up against a bedpost with his arms crossed, and smiling, annoyingly.


I grin slightly and stop my chanting again. “You finally decided to speak up?”
“I talk when something is worth saying.” Dragos replied chuckling, “Hannah wouldn’t lie. It’s not in her nature.”
“And nature is her nature.” Eternity added.


I roll my eyes even though they’re closed, “Idiot.” I whisper, “Eternity, shut up if you haven’t anything constructive to say.”
Eternity shies away but speaks up, “But what are you going to do?”
“Like I told Hannah,” I reply and concentrate of the fire, “We’ll destroy anyone who gets in our way.”
