Chapter four Dave
I stepped back just in time for the manticore to fly right past me. He skittered to the side and landed side ways. He roared and beat his wings. He was challenging me. He stood about 7 foot tall, 10 feet long. He had the body of a lion, wings of a raven and a scorpions tail. According to what I learned from mythomagic, that tail was almost as poisons as centaur blood.
"Finally! I have tracked you down David."
"Yea I'm sorry for all the trouble. You know how it is, trying to live and all."
"Your words will not save you this time Banner. This time, this time I shall feast."
"Oh I'm not so sure about how I would taste. Who would want some stringy fourteen year old caught between their teeth?"
"Enough talk Banner! You will NOT get away this time."
"Yea, I've heard that before." He roared and charged. Man I've been avoiding this guy sense Washington. At first I thought he was some normal guy until he tore off his face and turned into this giant manticore. His huge claw swiped for my chest as I jumped backwards and pulled the sword hilt from my back pocket. The second it realized I was in danger, it sprouted into a silver, crescent shaped blade. Glad I've learned to control it better. One time it was in my front pocket and it nearly cut off my...well you get the picture.
He tried to bit me and I slammed the butt of my blade into his head. He roared and slammed me in the chest with his paw, sending me flying towards the museum wall. I slumped down against the wall to catch my breath as Coach Hedge came outside.
"What's going on out...YOU!" He pointed at me with his bat. "YOURE the demigod?! Hang on cupcake, I'll get the monster!" He tore off his pants revealing a pair of goat legs.
"Your a satyr?!"
"Satyr! Oh wait you got it right. Well then yea! Now shut up while I do my job!" He ran forward at the manticore, waving his bat like a mad man. The manticore laughed.
"You?! Last I heard of the great Gleeson Hedge, he was kidnapped by a gentle breeze! What makes you think you can beat me?" He pulled his tail back to strike but right before he could, he got a mouth full of bat. He went flying backwards into the air and flapped his wings to stop himself from falling.
"Get back down here cupcake so I can make the rest of you as ugly as your face!"
I stood up and ran to stand next to Coach.
"Hey! What makes you think you can just jump in on my fight?"
"Your a demigod aren't ya? It's my job to find people like you and get them home safe."
"Home?"
Right before he could answer, the manticore crashed to the ground sending me and Coach flying. He charged again. This time I was ready. I picked my sword off the ground as my eyes went silver. Everything around us went dark, but I could see perfectly.
"Hiding in the shadows again Banner? Show yourself!" I tapped his shoulder and jumped back just as he swung his paw. I cut at his calves as he roared and fell to the ground. I stood over him and raised my sword, ready to strike.
"You think I won't find you again? Tartarus is rising and soon, all monsters will be free of you heroes!" I shoved my sword down his throat. He yelped then disappeared in a puff of yellow smoke leaving behind only a feather. Coach jumped up and patted me on the back.
"Alright kid nice job! Now do ha think you could turn the lights back on?"
My eyes turned back to their usual shade of blue as the darkness faded away, letting the sun come out.
"Pretty impressive show cupcake. How did you do that exactly?"
"My mom is Selena so I guess I got it from her." I had to duck as the coach did a 180, almost hitting me with his bat.
"Selena?!"
"Uhh yea. Moon goddess? Ring a bell?"
"Kid that goddess hasn't had kids with a mortal in like....forever!"
"Umm ok so?"
"So!? Your not even supposed to be alive!"

Chapter four! Longest chapter so far! Anyone else excited or is it just me. Anyways, tank all of you so much for, messaging, commenting or just reading my story. At first this was gonna only be about Kira but I've decided "hey! New story, new heroes, new bosses" right?
