Chapter three Dave
I was not looking forward to this feild trip. I've only been at this school for a few days and I was already being attacked by monsters of all sorts. Monday was a cyclops heading home from school. Tuesday was a angry wind spirits. Now it's Wednesday and who knows what could happen, especially sense I'm now surrounded by mortals. Wonder what it's gonna be today. Minotaur? Man eating horses? I had heard about those but never seen one. Maybe today's the day.
"David Banner? Dave!" A voice called from the front of the bus.
"Oh, here!" My teacher, Coach Hedge glared at me from the front of the bus.
"Keep your head out of the clouds cupcake, I don't have time to wait for you!"
"Sorry coach!" I'd much rather tell him to screw off but if I did, he would probably break his baseball bat over my head.
Well like the coach just said, I'm David Banner, but everyone calls me Dave. Im about 6'2 with black hair and blue eyes. Usally people can tell who I am by the Jean jacket I always wear. Or at least they could where I used to live.
This is what it had been like for a few months now. Ever sense my mom, Selena, claimed me, I've been moving from place to place with my dad, trying to keep ahead of the monsters. We've gotten lucky so far but I was thinking of going off alone. I didn't want my dad to get hurt because of me. But where was I gonna go? There isn't anywhere safe for people like me.
The bus pulled up to the museum and I immediately knew something was wrong. My nerves were firing into overdrive. I looked around for anything suspicious. Nothing out of the ordinary. The class walked ahead of me and I ran forward to catch up. Boy was that a mistake.
