The Blood of Titans

Chapter Five Kira
I must've stood there for only a few seconds before I realized I wasn't dead. I opened my eyes to see that everything was frozen. Completely and totally just not moving. No wait. They were moving, but in slow motion. I tried to wrap my mind around what was happening as the snakes slowly started to unhinge there jaws, like the were gonna eat me. I moved to the side to get out of the way of when the would bite. Right as I moved time speeded back up. The snakes fell to the floor in a confused daze. The looked around like "wait wasn't I doing something?" I took the advantage and called for Grover.
"Grover! Snakes!"
He turned just as the were about to charge again and turned them into a patch of daisies. Because my day couldn't get any weirder. Percy stabbed the last snake and it bust into a pile of dust, leaving only its frill behind.
"Ugh gross! Why can't I get a cool spoil of war? Like a tooth or a tail spike?" He picked up the frill and tossed it to the side then wiped his hands on his clothes like they were wet with snake blood(even though the just turned to dust).
"Ok what the heck is going on?! What were those things?"
Grover went to the nearest plant, mumbled something and it shriveled up and died. "They were basilisks. They were spread all across the world because PERCY phere decided it would be a good idea to snap the neck of a guy whose hair lets out these little fire-spitters."
"Ok first of all, he was a giant, second of all, saved the world by doing that!"
I must've looked really bad because Grover looked over all concerned.
"Are you ok? I get its a lot to take in but don't worry, Chiron or Lupa will explain everything, depending on your godly parent."
"Chiron?! Lupa?! What are you talking about?! What godly parent?"
"Well you see, according to Grover here, you smell like a demigod. Don't bother sniffing yourself only satyrs and monsters can smell us." I put my arm back down and blushed. "Now like we were saying, we think one of your parents is an Ancient Greek god. Which one of your parents do you live with?"
"My mom and my stepdad."
"Ok so a godly dad it is."
"Hold up! I am not some half God/person thing! I'm just a normal person!" These guys were crazy. My dad was a marine who died before I was born. Wasn't he?
"Look we have some friends coming for the pickup later. We want to take you somewhere safe for people like us. I'm a demigod to, Son of Poseidon. Tell you what. Meet us after school today and we will go talk to your parents before we leave. Deal?"
He stuck out his hand to shake. I hesitated then took his hand and shook.
"You'll explain everything?"
"I promise. Till then take this." He pulled a silver knife out of his campo jet and pointed the hilt at me.
"I can't have a knife in school!"
"Oh don't worry. It won't effect mortals and it'll look like a phone to them. But if you see any more monsters, this'll do the job." I took the knife and as if on cue, it turned into the image of a phone.
"Wait how am I gonna-" I looked up to see both Grover and Percy were gone "call you?" And that was the last time I saw either of them for the rest of the day.
