The New Addition To The Jackson Family

I knocked on the door to Bunker 9.. After the last time I had entered. Leo opened the door and let me in. he showed me the rings. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Leo went to the back and got a blank velvet box to put them in. I hugged him. He was amazing! Just fabulous. He makes his father proud I hope.

“Are you going to ask him tonight?” Leo asked.

“I don’t know. Maybe. But we just had a date and everything. Maybe wait a week. Plus I want it to be sweet and romantic, but subtle, yet big. I want it to be a moment he never forgets.” I said while smiling like a complete idiot.

“He means that much to you.” Leo said while leaning on a work bench. “I remember when we first met. You were with that rainbow dude. What was his name again?”
I smiled. “Butch.”

“Oh right, Butch.” He started walking around the bunker. “You said ‘Where is he?’ you were so forceful and angry and worried and terrified you would never see him again. At 16 years old you knew this day would come. The day that you ask Percy to be your husband. At 16. The storied I've heard throughout camp. Everything. You and Percy are meant for each other. When we met you and Percy had been going out for a few months right? Even then you were crazy about him. Even I could see it. and I don’t get people.”

“Leo, where are you going with this?”

He smiled. “I just wanted to say that he remembered you when his memories were wiped. Hera couldn’t talk the thought of you out of his head. He will remember you and the things you do. Even if its just writing ‘will you marry me’ on a card, he’d still think it was the most romantic thing ever.”

“Wait Leo! That’s perfect!” I smiled. I could see everything.

“What? What’s perfect?” He looked so confused.

“I’ll pray to Poseidon and ask him to calm the tides. Then I’ll write out ‘will you marry me seaweed brain? Love your wise girl’ in the sand and the letters will be huge, massive and that we will have to walk the beach to read it all. And I’ll be at the end on one knee with the ring in my hand. I’ll leave him a note on his bed telling him to come to the beach. I’ll make a path of rose petals. And I’ll get everyone together. You, Calypso, Frank, Hazel, Jason, Piper, Nico, Will, Rachel, Reyna, his mom and dad, my mom and dad and step mom. Everyone. It’ll be perfect. I’ll even ask Luke if he’s feeling well enough.”

“Annabeth, that sounds amazing. He’s going to love it!” he paused. “speaking of you parents, have you told them about the bun in the oven?”

I felt my face go pale. “Oh gods. No. No I haven’t. Percy and I haven’t been to the mortal world yet. We should probable do that soon.”

“Yep.”

“Wait, how did you know. The only one I told was… Jason. Oh that’s right. You owe him money.” I teased.

“Oh shut up Annabeth.” He gently punched my shoulder. He and I have grown to be good friend over the years. “But you should probably go talk to Percy about seeing his soon to be parents in law.”

“Yeah. Thank you for the rings!” I turned and left.

As I walked to the cabins I looked down at the black velvet box that held the rings. I ran my thumb over it. just thinking about the proposal made me nervous. And I don’t really get nervous. My stomach turned a bit so I bit the box in my sweatshirt pocket. Well it’s not really mine. It’s technically Percy’s but I stole it. I got closer to the cabins I heard Percy screaming. My fiancé need me. I broke into a quick run. I heard his screaming ‘ANNABETH! ANNABETH, HELP ME!’ along with the sound of metal chains clanging against each other. What was going on?!

I burst through the door. Percy was chained by his wrists and ankles to our-his bed. Naked.

I stood in shock. “Annabeth help me out of here.” He pleaded. His voice shaky.

“What happened?” I asked once he was out of the chains.

“After you left to go see Leo, I walked to the beach and went for a stroll under the water.-“ he told me that he found a mermaid tangled in a fishing net and he helped her out. It turns out the mermaid was a horny goddess looking for a mortal to rape. He said it hurt him. He was half crying telling me the story.

“Hey, hey, hey, honey it’s okay.” I grabbed a blanket and rapped him up. “Is there anything else you want to talk about?” I ask rubbing his back to calm him down.

“Actually yes.” He sniffed, and then continued. “The dream.-“ he went on about how he had a dream about Luke. He said they were training. Then Luke fell or looked like he fell. Percy went to help him up Luke thrashed and cut my fiancé. He had said that Luke told him that he would have me and there was nothing Percy could do to stop it. But I don’t love Luke like that anymore. I love Luke like a brother. I guess I always have. I just couldn’t separate the two feelings of love as a young child.

“Percy you know that’s not true. I love you! I always have.” I said as soothingly as I could. I hugged him. I hugged him tight. He was the love of my life and I’m not letting him go. He didn’t let me go that time when I was hanging over Tartarus. Even when I told him to let go he tightened his grip. Now it was my turn. I tightened my hug.

“Annabeth, you’re crushing me!” He managed.

“Oh. Right. Sorry babe.” I reluctantly let him out of my bear hug. “So, have you iris messaged your mom?”

“Oh shit no! Oh gods she’s going to kill me.” Percy said.

“I haven’t told my dad and step mom either.”

“No. not about that, she’s going to love that. No, she’s going to kill me because ive been off of school for like 2 months and I haven’t talked to her. She hates it when I don’t call or iris message.” Percy jumped up. Then realized he was still naked and blushed. He quickly rapped the blanket around his waist and I just giggle.

“Percy, I have seen you naked. Frankly I quite like it.” I laughed. And kissed him on the cheek.

“Now get dressed. We are going to talk to Chiron about leaving for a few days.”

“Yes ma’am.” He saluted. Then went into the bathroom to change. I sat on his bed. This could be our bed soon. I thought. I took out the black velvet box for my pocket and opened it. the rings were most dazzling. I got tires in my eyes. I quickly wiped them away and put the box back into the sweatshirt pocket because Percy came out in a plaid blue and white t-shirt and khaki shorts.

“Well, you clean up nice.” I said as I stood and fixed his collar.

“Have I ever told you look sexy in that sweatshirt?” He asked smiling his usual goof ball smile. He slipped his hands into my back pockets.

“Maybe once or twice.” I grabbed his face and kissed him. For a short time nothing else mattered but him and me. But that ended went I hear a shriek. Pipers no doubt. But why? What’s wrong with piper?

“You should go see what’s wrong. Then after we’ll talk to Chiron.” He slapped my butt.

“HEY!” I protested.

“Go. And I love you wise girl.” He smiled so genuinely. I loved him so much.

“Love you too seaweed brain.” And I ran to the Aphrodite cabin.

“Annabeth, I wouldn’t go in there if I were you.” Warned Piper’s half-brother Glen.

“Piper is my friend. I have to.” I informed Glen.

“Good luck.” He patted my on the shoulder.

I crept inside. “Piper you okay?” I whispered.

“NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!” She screamed.

“Hey, hey, hey. Piper it’s me. Annabeth.” I gently said. “Can you tell a good old friend what’s wrong?”

She looked up from her now mascara stained pillow. She sniffed and whispered, “She’s taken him away from me.”

“Oh. Honey. No, no, no. That’s not true. Jason loves you. He really-“ She cut me off.

“WELL NOW HE DOESN’T! HE JUST IRIS MESSAGED ME THAT WE ARE DONE. AND, AND, AND REYNA WAS BEHIND HIM SMILING CUNNINGLY!” She screamed then sobbed into her pillow. I leaned over and hugged her. She lifted her head and cried on my shoulder.

Soon after Rachel came in.

“Piper give me a hug,” she said. “I may not have my but I know that scream anywhere. Plus it’s already all over camp. Drew is actually protecting you. She’s headed to camp Jupiter now to smack Reyna.”

“She-she-she is?” Piper sobbed.

“She is?” I cover Pipers ears and whispered in shook. Rachel just nodded.

“Well, that’s a first. She’s actually being a good half-sister.” Piper momentarily stopped crying.

All of a sudden there was a grimmer in the corner of my eye.

“Piper.” Jason said groggily. She turned then turned away.

“Jason, what do you want?” Rachel snapped. She can be very feisty when she needs to be.

“Rachel, what do you mean? I want to talk to my girlfriend.” He replied.

“I’M NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND ANYMORE YOU JERK!” Piper exclaimed.

“Pipes. What do mean. Babe I love.” Jason look genuinely confused.

“Piper,” I turned her to face Jason. “Look at him. He really doesn’t know.”

“Jason, you just called her and told her you two were done.” Rachel explained.

Piper wiped her eyes. Then she gasped. I don’t know why but then she pointed to a little vial to Jason’s right. “What is that?” Jason turned

“You mean this?” He held up the vial. It was small and in the shape of a heart. It had a fuschia colored liquid in it. “I don’t know. But it looks like the dragon fruit mango juice Reyna gave me earlier.”

“I may not be a child of Aphrodite, but Jason, I think you have been drugged.” I said.

“Drugged? What do you mean, Annabeth?” Jason looked panicked now.

“Not bad. Like meth or something. My guess is that it’s a love poison. Or an anti-love poison. If Reyna ever tries to give you that again say no. or take it and dump it over your shoulder.” I advised.

“Got it. Oh and Pipes, I’m coming home soon. Like I’m leaving in a few days. I just need to make sure the boundaries will hold for a while.” Jason smiled.

Piper now looking happy as ever said, “That’s wonderful.”

“Jason.” Reyna called out in a sexy voice. “I’m ready.” She walked over covering herself in only a very very thin purple drape I guess you could call it.

“GROSS! REYNA PUT ON SOME CLOTHES!” Rachel screamed. “Or at least shave your bush. For the gods’ sake!”

“Guys, He-“ Jason started but Reyna cut the connection.

“That slutty little-“ piper started but I cut her off.

“Hey, if he loves you he’ll tell you when he gets back.”

“How do you know?” she cracked.

“Because,” I took a shaky breath. “Percy got raped by a goddess and the second he saw me he told me about it.”

“Wow.” She said simply. “Wait! Drew is going to smack him.”

“We have to stop her.” Rachel agreed.

“I have to talk to Chiron. I have to tell my step mom and my dad. And I have to tell my future step dad in law and mom in law about the bun in the over and me proposing to Percy.” I said

“WAIT YOU ARE PROPOSING TO HIM!” Rachel and Piper said in unison.

“Yeah. I’ll tell you the details later. You 2 have to go. Now.”

And we all went our separate ways. I ran to the big house and Piper and Rachel ran for the demigod express.

Percy was waiting at the front door. “Is she alright? Dam did that spread like a wild fire.” He said.

“Yeah she’s fine. Just a misunderstanding. Shall we go in?”

“Yes, yes we shall.” And he escorted me inside.
