The Darkness Is Coming

Chapter 7
Annabeth’s P.O.V.

After the girl collapsed, the first thought I had was You will feel my...what? Ya great right. I realized that A. Percy and Leo were knocked out B. The girl’s sword is gone C. Percy and I just got deferred and D. The girl wasn’t looking good along with the fact that her eyes had changed color.

Ok first things first. I sat the boys up. no easy job, and force fed them ambrosia. They instantly looked better. Then I looked at the misterious girl. She was shivering. Even though she had tried to kill us, she hadn’t. I figured I should at least try to keep her alive. I took off my jacket and put it on her. Then I fed her some ambrosia. She looked much better, but was still shivering.

Surprisingly she woke up first. She jerked awake. She was sweating. She started to calm down and looked around the room. “What the....?” She muttered. Looking down she noticed my jacket next to her, since it had flewn off her when she had woken up. She gingerly touched it, like she wasn’t sure it was real. It (gasp) was. She looked so shocked at it, I couldn’t help but wonder what this girl had gone through. She laid down and was soon back asleep.

Percy woke up next. He simed to right away remember that when he had gotten knocked out we were in the middle of fighting. He jumped up on to his feet and had riptide in his hand. He looked around realizing that there was nothing to get so worked up about. He looked so confused that I started to laugh. He immediately looked my way. “What happened?”

“You got knocked out.” He rolled his eyes at me. I started to explain what happens when Loe woke up. He caught on fire right away. After a minute the flames died.

Leo looked at Percy. “Knowing you, why didn’t you douse me?”

“I couldn’t.”

“What?” I said looking at him. He seemed confused.

“I can’t feel any water. I know I should though. You guys have water in you, but it feels like you don’t.”

“That means it’s targeted to child of Poseidon, or people with water people in general. But why only you? Leo still has powers and in this case using water as a weapon isn’t as big of a deal. Why isn’t targeted to powers in general?” I probably would have kept going but the someone interrupted at that time.

“I can answer that.” The girl said. Everyone looked over there. Leo and Percy were on gared weapons trained on her, she didn't even flinch. She stayed focused on me. I hadn't moved either. "It's because of me. " Her eyes had changed color, becoming the color I saw when I looked at Percy.

The weapons got closer until it was at her throat. "What do you mean because of you " said Percy. Slowly she turned to him. Once she had looked into eyes he lowered his weapon.

"I mean it's most likely because I'm a daughter of Poseidon and because I've been in prisoner her for 16 years I doubt they would have wanted me to get away."

Leo stared at her in shock. Percy just blinked trying to comprehend it. I asked her one question "What's your name?"

She smirked "Kathy Jackson.
