The Darkness Is Coming

Chapter 9
Carmela and Kathy(latter)

Kathy walked through the door. THe others looked at me. I shrugged and went with her. “Hey.” I said when I had caught up with her.

“Hi.” She sounded strong, but weak at the same time. I knew that voice, I heard it every time I talked.

“So, you don’t know that much about me.” She nodded. “Well I’m a child of Hades.”

“I’m a child of Poseidon.”

“Neat. So how are you? Did you see the way they were looking at you. I’m guessing-”

“Stop.”

“What?”

“Freeze.” Her muscles tensed up. She took a step forward. A boy her age stepped out. WIthout hesitating, she grabbed his arm. twisting it, she pointed him so that his back was against her. She held a dagger to his neck.

“Come out.” She said. A girl the same age appeared.

“Kathy.” She whined.

Kathy looked closer. “Macy?” she looked down. “Damon?”

“Yes.” the boy, Damon, said. “Now can you stop driving the knife into my neck.” All I saw was a flash of metal. The knife was gone, and she stood a good couple inches away from them. The rest of the group came up behind us. Kathy either didn’t care, or didn’t see them.

“Ok. We have to get away. The easiest thing to do is to use the backdoor. They are going to expect that though. We are going to have to take them head on. I can feel the power so that means I can use them. Carmela and I will go first with Percy and Leo in the back. Carmela can shadow travel us if worse comes to worse. I’ll be the distraction. I’ll probably be best since she won’t kill me.” Kathy said.

“She won’t kill us either.” said Macy “So Damon and I will be the distraction.”

“No!” Kathy answered immediately.

“She’s right. You need to get out. We know that you’ll come back.” Damion said staring hard into Kathy’s eyes.

“Fine. After that we’ll only have a few. That shouldn’t be too hard.Then we just have to go through the Casino. Punch anyone who talks to us. THem we’ll get the pegasus. Carmella and I will double up and so will Percy and Annabeth. K?”

Leo, Percy, and Annabeth exchanged looks. “Sure.” Everyone said.

“Good.” Then she hugged Macy and them Damon. “Stay safe.” She murmured. All three of them smiled, like that was a joke between them. “Lets do this.” Damon drew a sword while Macy drew a dagger. From Kathy's sleeve she produced a sword too.

Damon and Macy ran out. “Carmella get ready.” We rushed out there. We weren't faced with much. Nether Macy or Damon were in sight. Only a couple monsters. Kathy reduced them to ashes in alarming speed. We ran out. Some time soon we were met with pagusses.

Kathy:
Hey boss, how’d to go.

“Not the time Blackjack. We need to get out of hear.”

K.

“Blackjack is it?” I asked looking at him.
She can hear me?

I rolled my eyes. Yes idiot. One of them said. I looked at it. She was beautiful. She had a brown coat. White spots decorated her. She had a black mane and tail. Her wings were the same as her mane.

“What’s your name.” I asked the pegasus.

Snow

“Well, Snow, may I ride you.”

Of course. Thank you for asking. No one ever does that. I swung up on to her, like I was born to ride. Carmella got on, as did the rest.
“Let’s go Snow.” We took off. I looked back. This was the place that I had
spent most of my life at. I hoped to all the gods I never saw that place again. It vanced from view.

Why Kathy, you can never escape me. I knew that voice. It was Nyx’s. I looked over at the people who had saved me. Three of the 7 and Carmella. The girl from my nightmares. That was the last thing I saw before I blacked out.
