Aleka, The Fourth Fate
Summary
Aleka was born two days before her sisters, the three Fates. She was a mistake, not meant to be, unplanned, unknown, and unforetold.
For this, she has been punished.
Since the beginning of time, long before the gods, Titans, and even the Giants were born, she has been chained to a throne of pure anger and pain, and has overseen the River Acheron unknown by even the gods themselves.
She's resented by her mother, Nyx, and most of her siblings as well, the exception being of Hecate, Thanatos, and Hypnos.
Finally, after eons of suffering she escapes, with the help of Hypnos, saying that she is needed above, in the mortal world, to aid the gods and their children and the Egyptian magicians in the oncoming war against Night, Chaos, and Tartarus themselves.
She agrees, but pays the price of giving up her Sight.
There, after stumbling into the Underworld, she meets Nico di Angelo, though from afar. Hades, who worries of Nico but despises Aleka, as one of the few that know of her existence, let's her pass on one condition: No harm shall come to his children.
Aleka agrees, and makes the journey to Long Island Sound, posing as a daughter of Hecate, and when confronted with Nico, falls deeply in love with him, though hides her feelings and, later on, tries to push him away.
Nico, on the other hand, feels the same, and, unaware of who she is, tries to pursue her.
Her identity is uncovered a day after she arrives at Camp Half-Blood by Sadie Kane, who, along with the other Egyptian refugees, flees to Camp Half-Blood seeking aid, as the Egyptian world is in disarray.
After that, Aleka calls on Hypnos to explain of the Great War, and also manages to summon a hellish version of the Oracle of Delphi from Tartarus to temporarily take over Rachel and speak the Prophecy of Night.
When the demigods learn that she is a daughter of their enemy, and that she lied, no one trusts her, and Aleka's seething anger only grows.
Nico is unsure about Aleka, yet does not treat her as unkindly as the others. His endearment for her only grows over time, even after she shuns him repeatedly.
From there, their journey across the world begins.
This is the story of Aleka, and how her existence changed the lives of many, including her own.
Characters
Aleka, Daughter of Nyx (The Fourth Fate, also known as Alexandra Payne, Daughter of Hecate)
While chained in Tartarus, she had knowledge of the demigods and the 21st century world before it occurred. She is considered very beautiful, though she has this layer of pain and melancholy no one can understand. Her bitterness and anger clouds her judgement, as does the fact that no one trusts her. She appears as a regular 19 year old girl, with hair so brown it looks black, usually in a braid, and with eyes like melted pools of chocolate, but when pieces of the past, present or future are shown to her, one of her eyes are a bright silver. She has been shown such cruelty over time that all who try to get close to her get pushed roughly away. She has a streak of white in her hair, signifying her age. She carries her Stygian Iron dagger with her at all times as it contains her Sight, and it is her main weapon, with the power to absorb the essence of, well, anything, really. Upon meeting Nico, falls hopelessly in love with him, though hides her true emotions from him.
Hades, Lord of the Dead

Hypnos, the God of Sleep

Nyx, or Night, Goddess (or personification) of Night
Mother of Aleka, the Fates, Thanatos, Hypnos, Eris, Nemesis, Hemera, Aether, Moros, Ker, the Oneiroi, Hesperides, Momus, Oizys, the Keres, Apate, Philotes, and Geras. Her palace, the House of Night, is near the pit of Chaos, a place that, if beheld by mortal eyes, could cause insanity, the horrors so great. Despises Aleka of all her children. Wants to take her place alongside Tartarus and Chaos in their attempt to rule the world above, the world of mortals.
Will Solace, Son of Apollo
Age 23. Best friend of Nico di Angelo. Head Medic and Counselor of the Apollo cabin at Camp Half-Blood.
