Lou Ellen had given Alex a tour, had shown her their cabin, her bunk, and as they were heading down tonthe dining pavilion for dinner, having a detailed discussion about magic, something large and jet black erupted from the shadows of the forest and bounded towards Alex. Her eyes widened before it jumped on her, pushing her to the ground, and Lou Ellen heard an ominous CRACK as Alex's ribs broke, causing her to cry out in pain.
Nico, who had just left the swordplay arena, saw the scene, a look of horror on his face.
"Mrs.O'Leary! DOWN! NOW!" The hellhound growled at the unconscious Alex one last time before stepping off of her.
"What happened?" Nico asked, running up to them, and, be holding Alex, a look of anger flashed in his eyes.
Lou Ellen, who had been tending to Alex, looked up, concern and slight fear in her eyes, said,"We need to get her to the infirmary. NOW."
Nico hesitated for a moment, then stopped down to pick Alex up, carrying her to the infirmary bridal-style, Lou Ellen sprinting off to find Will, who was the camp's best medic. 'Mrs.O'Leary would NEVER had done that, especially not a new camper,' she thought on her way to the Apollo cabin. 'What could Alex had done for Mrs.O'Leary to act that way? Poor thing.... And on her first day too.'
Lou Ellen finally reached the Apollo cabin and hammered on the door with her fist.
"WILL! WILL, COME OUT, IT'S AN EMERGENCY! WILL!" She yelled.
The door opened, and Will looked at her, worried. "What happened?"
"It's Alex. Mrs.O'Leary came out nowhere and pounced on her, and I think some of her ribs are broken. She's unconcious and needs attention, Will. Nico took her to the infirmary."
"What are you waiting for? C'mon!" he said, running in the direction of the infirmary, Lou Ellen behind him, her head swimming with questions.
