Aleka, The Fourth Fate

Amends

Aleka

Aleka released herself early next morning, before anyone else was awake. Will DID say that she could go the next morning, and she felt perfectly fine. She wandered around aimlessly, lost in a sea of thoughts, and finally found her self in a clearing in the forest. A fairly large boulder was in the center of the clearing, a patch of sunlight perfectly placed upon it. She climbed to the top and sat down, thinking of her conversation with Nico the night before.
How stupid was Aleka, really? How could she have been so foolish as to conclude how Bainca had died? And the look on Nico's face as she said it.....
She shouldn't have asked about his past, it probably brought back too many painful memories, but if she didn't, and slipped up again, she would even MORE suspicion to herself. Then again, she also enjoyed Nico's company, and felt herself blush as she remembered how he had been staring at her. Hades would throw a fit, and do something extremely rash, like reveal who she was, or worse, set her mother and siblings on her, like he had set Mrs.O'Leary on her.
Mrs.O'Leary was indeed the only tame one of her kind, and some may even describe her as sweet and playful, but, as any creature of the Underworld, she must obey, no matter of her doubts. Hades had ordered her to pounce on Aleka as a warning, to remember her place. She scowled and muttered a few curses in Greek at the thought.
"What does he hope to accomplish?" She mumbled. "What is he hoping to achieve, other than his children's deaths?"
Aleka stiffened as something nudged her elbow, and turned to see the hellhound herself, with sadness in her large glowing eyes. 'Forgive me,' she heard her say, her voice clear in her mind. 'I would never have done such a thing on my own, especially to someone as respected as you, milady.' Mrs.O'Leary bowed her head, shame in her words
Aleka laughed softly, which made the hellhound look up in surprise. 'I forgive you, my friend,' she said in the beast's mind, stroking it's furry forehead. The girl then sighed. 'I'm not respected, companion of Deadalus, and I never will be. I was a mistake, and despised and humiliated because of it.'
'Indeed you do not deserve this, milady,' the hellhound replied, 'But there ARE a few who favor you, such as the one who ordered me off of you, the son of Hades, Nico di Angelo. He seems to like you quite a lot.'
Aleka could hear a wry note in Mrs.O'Leary's voice, and it made her cheeks turn pink. "Don't let Hades hear that, or we'll both be in tremendous trouble." she said out loud, scratching her behind the ears. Mrs.O'Leary made a deep rumbling sound in her throat, which could have been laughter. 'Oh, I have no intention of telling HIM, though I may tell his son....'
Aleka scowled at her. "Are you TRYING to get me killed?" She said. Mrs.O'Leary made that odd sound in her throat again, and this time Aleka laughed with her.
