The Hope in Our Scars

I watch the shimmering light from the sun rise from the distant horizon. I stare into the vast distance my mind still tracking farther and farther away from my body. I'm still aware of how far I've come and to turn back meant...
No, I thought, and the same voice popped into my head before I could hardly think.
It's easy to loose hope. I am among other people standing in time, many have lost all of their wills of motivation. They have lost their support that has taken them step by step towards their goal. People have like others before them, given up on life. But many have also challenged those numbers, and stayed positive towards their achievements and reached for beyond the stars of our world. Hope will never shatter in my eyes. It will linger for as long as possible. Like a flame clinging on until the fire dies out. I will be like a flame, that will cling onto hope until all but ashes remain.....
