The Hope in Our Scars

The morning that followed, Leo and I awoke from our deep sleep. Being the first one to wake up, I got up (looked for the shirt I was wearing yesterday). I scrambled looking for the shirt, wrapping a towel around myself. There was some movement, and Leo was rubbing his eyes and giving a big yawn. He sat up and stretched out his arms. When he saw my face, Leo's face lit up. I gave him a small smile.
"Morning," he said.
"Good morning Valdez."
"Nice towel you got there."
"Thanks Leo."
"Your shirt?"
"What about it?"
He waved up the light creamish color stained with dirt shirt. I blushed wildly, and snatched it back.
"You sure looked sexy last night."
"Shut up Valdez."

"Okay," I said while munching on my Dunkin Donuts special. "We'll head for New York today. If we're lucky, we'll get there in a week or two."
Leo nodded while biting into his morning bagel, and spitting out a crusted hard part of it.
"We should definately get going," he agreed, "in my flash back yesterday, I saw the top of the empire state building. Which is located there."
He pointed at a painted picture of the "Big Apple" in New York, the number one city in the world.
At the same time, a cute brunette waitress came up to us, and winked at Leo. It felt like I was punched in the stomach.
"The total's $10, just so you know," she said flashing a flawless smile at him. I felt like I wanted to kick her in the you-know-what. "I'm Kendra by the way."
Once again, she atempted to flirt with Leo. He uncomfortably smiled back.
Reaching for his wallet, he pulled out a ten dollar bill and politely handed it to Kendra, which smelled the dollar bill, and sighed.
She, realizing Leo and I were staring weirded out, Kendra once again flashed her usual perfect smile, and slid the dollar bill down her shirt, while once again winking at Leo, who looked like he could puke at any moment.
"Awww, demigod scent," she murmured like we couldn't hear her. She then unexpectantly, grabbed Leo by the collar, and ripped through his flannel shirt, with once slice of a nail-which turned into dark gray claws, sprouting like a wolf's.
Leo, who had no shirt on, and Kendra who still this time slammed him against the wall, pinning his arms to the wall, hissed into his ear, "Demigod boy, it's a shame I have to kill you, you were so good looking as well."
Her features were now so disoriented from the old one, I was surprised I didn't pass out right on the spot. Her brunette hair had become all purple and frizzy, her eyes turning piercing red, and fangs springing out of her teeth. She still looked pretty attractive, except her fangs that were threatening to gush blood out of his throat.
Leo swallowed with a bit of fear, though he did a great job not showing it. Kendra stuck her tongue (which was freakin' blue!) and started to lick Leo's lips and began to enter his mouth, while forcing Leo to rub her huge breasts (which grew like her hair). He definately looked like he was about to puke. I frantically looked around, but everyone was eating their meals, and didn't notice the freaky monster girl seductively abusing a teen boy.
Being the inexperience demigod I was, I didn't think or make up a plan, I just grabbed a nearby knife from a table. I held the kitchen utensil threatingly and simply charged.
