The Hope in Our Scars

Chapter Five

The days seem to sweep by like a store owner brushing away the last dust before the shop was to be closed. The days seemed to fly about quickly. Leo and I flew with Festus, unsure where to go, but hopefully meeting inhabited land along the way. Day by day, my relationship with Leo had grown into a soulmate type of romance. Everytime, he stroked my hair, touched my cheeks, and kissed me like there was no tomorrow, I knew that he and I were meant to be.
I know this sounds very very very cliche. But I think I've found my Prince Charming. But unlike Cinderella, this princess stepped up and already claimed her shoe...
Today, we were lucky. Soon we had landed on a coast of the.... (US I think) in a place called Los Angelos. We only crashed in a motel because it was about midnight. Since the place was mostly deserted, Leo and I got this luxurious room, because the hotel owner, who was about 25, seemed to look at us in pity, taking in the raggy, dust covered clothing into check. It was amazing we had found a wad of cash in the streets today. We found it in Beverly Hills next to a lady wearing a large fur coat, chatting with her husband who had six packs and had nice short cropped hair. Lets just say, we sorta took the unclaimed cash....so lesson learned: never leave cash in the open where two 16 year olds can take them, the end.
Even though there were two king sized beds in our room, Leo and I crashed on the bed right next to the beautiful grand window beside us, showing the twilight skies of California (I think that's where we are according to the hotel owner).
Leo who was now wide awake probably because of this dark brown hot drink he was offered by Clara (the girl who checked us in). I was too, since I did not object the strange liquid and forced myself to shovel it down my throat, ignoring the bitterness in my mouth.
After a while, Leo was the first one to perk up, "I'm going to take a shower."
I nodded, "Have fun."
"Okay I will."
Silence.
"Lily?"
"Yea?"
"Can you help me discard my cloth-"
"Oh my gods, Leo!" I shouted, playfully hitting a pillow to his chest. It was harder than I thought. An arm jerked my body from the bed. I realized it as Leo who was now almost half-disposed of my flannel shirt (which he treasured for exactly four nights and three days). It was half buttoned down, but I could see his arm stuck in one hole from messing around with me while I was trying to sleep.
I slowly trailed my fingers down his chest, every touch sending shivers down his body. As I unbuttoned the last two above his chest. He took me by surprise and pushed me against the wall, heavily breathing onto my cheeks, sweat dancing around the circles of my palm. I jerked my head up and stared into his predatorial eyes, that seemed to look at me hungrily.
So being the tired girl that I was, I gave up and slammed my lips into his, which caught him very off guard. He was taken aback, and quickly fumbled to grasp my waist, in which he accidentally grabbed the sides of my breast, making him blush, and fall again.
By the time, we were both done from tripping and falling. We were ontop of eachother on the floor. His straight posture above me, the starry night view clearly visible behind him.
Leo slowly started to slowly make his way to my mouth, first kissing my neck, chin, and finally-
He hesitated for a moment, I could see a visible flashback moment inside of his mind. Slowly uncertain, he just paused, and looked over his shoulders at the skies that surrounded our world like an endless blanket.
There was a flash of light. I thought it was a trick played by my eyes, but I saw it-the star glowing brighter and brighter. Falling faster and faster. I quickly thought about my wish, to be back to where I came from. But from the corner of my eyes, I saw lonliness and sadness in Leo's eyes, and I immediately regretted my wish....
I wish Leo would stop acting like a coward and just make out with me so I won't have to see him looking like a homeless puppy!
The stars for a second seemed to aline and form a constellation of a goddess who had very long hair and enormous breasts. She winked at me and I blacked out for few moments. I blinked it was all gone...was it an illusion?
I had no time to think as therefore, Leo Valdez was hovering over me, and confidently pressed his lips against mine, with such force, it made him stumble too. His right hand tight around my waist, and his left gripping the skin slightly under my under arm, and slightly brushed the upper part of my breasts. He gave me a light squeeze and for all I know, I was lost in the presence of love and romance. Not caring that I was kissing a boy who was wearing nothing but his boxers and a girl (aka me) whose shirt was on the dangerous verge of slipping off-which would definately make Leo have a blush fever of about hmmm...a million degrees.
Tonight, I knew that Leo and I were a version of Cinderella and her prince. We were the couples who met and fell in love. We were the two who was set up by wonderful yet unexpecting Fairy God Mother. But unlike the fables from childhood, we weren't going to allow the stroke of midnight to end this modern dream fairytale.

Notes

Fifth chapter already! This one will live up to the expectations of Ch 4. (I think :p
