The New Demigods

Ah, the fresh scent of burning flesh. That is what the Underworld smells like. But at least I don't have to deal with it every second of my life like most of the souls here. But for real though, it is really dark in here.
"Annabeth?"
"Yeah?"
"When are we going to get there?"
She stops abruptly and turns to me.
"You did not just go there."
See? Like I said, Annabeth is such a mother! It was just an innocent question!
We walked for what seemed like hours. But that is probably because it did take three hours to get there. When we first arrived at the gate of Hades' mansion, I heard a deep, scary growl coming from the corner.
"James get that thingaway from me!"
Did I tell you that Annabeth hates dogs? No? Okay then. Well, Annabeth really hates dogs. So, yeah.
"Cebrus enough!" Yelled Hades, "Why on Zeus's name are you..... Oh. Its you! What are you doing here you stupid mortal?"
If you were reading from the beginning, you would remember that Hades, like, totally hates me. As he is talking, I get really bored and start looking around his mansion. Let me tell you, that guy is totally into the whole "death and torture" theme. The only thing with even a little color and excitement was a garden. According to ancient people, the garden is for his wife Persephone.
As I looked past the garden, I noticed a door that said "Den" in really faded letters. I also heard a muffled noise that sounded like people. I stared at that door for a really long time. I was aware of what was happening but I couldn't look away.
"James. I see you are interested in that room. You can go check it out if you want. Let me escort you."
"James listen to me. That is a trap. Stop walking! James please!"
I heard her but I just couldn't look away. I saw my step mother walk into the room and I just felt like I had to follow her. She and her mother were the only people that accepted me before Camp Half-Blood. I knew it was a trap. I entered the dark room unable to stop myself. The next thing I know, the door slams shut behind me. I hear the click of the lock and I know the true weight of the mistake I had just made.
I knew that I was not going to be able to force my way out. I looked farther and almost screamed at what I saw. Looking back at me where to zombies. But not like the zombies you see on t.v. where you can just chop their heads off and win the girl. No. These were real life zombies.
I was locked in a room with two hungry looking zombies in the Underworld with a god that hates my guts.
