Brother- Jonathan Kiplan. A 18 year old guy, who is a man of physics. He loves science and reading, and usually is in the Athena cabin drawing. He looks almost identical to his father, with dirty blonde hair and light gray eyes.

Best friend- Ryan Mackenize.
[Why does this name sound familiar?]
A 16 year old Saytr, who is intent on keeping Wade safe. He loves eating tin and anything Mexican. He goes with Wade anywhere, to fulfill his duty as Protecter. He has orange hair, with dark brown eyes. Light freckles are sprayed over his face, a friendly ginger.

Personality
Positive traits: Wade is a very sensible, down to earth person. He tries to see things through rationally and is amazing at planning things out and staying organized in general.
[Matches the description of Athena kids.]

Negative traits: Wade has a deep anger he tries to keep hidden from others. He didn't know where it came from, but whenever someone bullied him or his friend, he'd get mad.
[So he has a short-fuse or is quick-to-anger. The "deep anger" part sounds a bit iffy.]

Fears/Phobias: Wade has arachnaphoboa. He has a slight paranoia because of spiders, which is why some boys thing he's a sissy, but you'd be terrified of spiders too if they crawled into your ears when you were five!

Fatal Flaw: Wade Kiplan has committed himself to a survival system that operates under the assumption that if he takes care of everyone else, somehow, magically, his own needs will be met as well. There was a time in Wade's life when developing his ability to care about the needs of others helped Wade grow into a more loving and less self-serving human being. Powerful feelings of self-worth accompanied these actions. He felt good about himself because he was getting as much as he was giving. His life had a balance to it. But there came a point of diminishing returns when the value of what was coming in was no longer equal to the value of what was going out.

As more and more demands were made on Wade to put the needs of family and community above his own, his identity as a caretaker became fixed. Other aspects of Wade's nature were suppressed or ignored and the only things that grew in their place were anger and resentment. The system of putting everyone else's needs before his own was breaking down and Wade felt unhappy and unfulfilled.
[Which is why I'm a selfish asshole. I can see how this can affect him. At first, I thought it was going to be the usual "oh I'm selfless! I love everyone!" But it's actually pretty unique. Nice one.]

Powers and Abilities: Wade has the amazing ability to be a kid genius, he's smart and full of wisdom.
[He's 15. He doesn't have much wisdom yet. Wisdom is brought about by experiences. To be a kid genius isn't an "amazing ability". An ability is something he can do. An ability would probably be "able to remember how something looks, exactly" or more commonly known as "photographic memory".]

Backstory: Wade grew up in an orphanage until he was six. He actually had a pretty nice time there: free food, free housing, free sympathy!
[Sympathy is supposed to be free]
The only thing he really had to do for himself was clean and work if he wanted stuff.
[What. Then that negates the 'free' stuff you mentioned.]
But he was sad too. Thoughts always ran through his head: who were his parents? Where people looking for him? Did they put him there? Where they happy without him? They nagged at him all day long and he just felt he had to figure them out. He knew that somehow he would but he was four. He had no idea what "the Greek Owl will acknowledge you soon." He just thought that his history teacher had a few loose screws in her head.
[Okay, explain this part more since I'm having a hard time following.]
So until he was six, Wade lived in that orphanage until a man he claimed

to be his blood father came and got him. It was awkward between the two for months. Wade hated him when his father wanted to get to know him and ask him what he liked to do, if he had a lot of friends, if he played a sport or an instrument. But Wade did answer once. When Trevor asked him what he liked to do for about the millionth time he answered "I like to think and strategize."
[Are you kidding me? Do you even know how a six-year-old acts? Even if he's a kid of Athena, given his circumstances he wouldn't be doing the 'strategizing' part.]
That shut his dad up.

But he also told his father, about two months later, that he loved fire. Trevor thought nothing of it; it was just a phase that kids go through. It wasn't. Wade accidently burnt down the house at age fourteen, which is how he got the burnt marks on his fingertips and his palms. Guilt nearly killed him everyday, since his father barely got out in time with his brother. They all blamed him for everything but they soon got over it; everything happens for a reason they said.
[Not realistic. And what's with the fire? Please explain.]
Then his dad explained to him the whole Greek demigod thing and he was sent to Camp Half-Blood even though he tried to veto the decision. No such luck once more! So he's been here for about a year and just wants to leave but he knows that he'll just be sent back again.

Comments:
I couldn't really get a grasp of this guy's personality. The backstory was just... I don't even know how to describe it. I'm a philosophy minor. I deal with a lot of confusing things that most people can't understand but even I'm confused with the backstory. It lacked a lot of explanation. Also, make sure you understand what certain age-groups can or can't do/say.
Advice: Expound on a lot of things. The more detailed (just make sure the details are necessary) the better.
