Silent Starlight

'So...I've changed,' I thought as I took the bronze shield my brother, Tyson, had made for me. Last month, he had visited us with his wife, Ella the harpy and he had gifted me this shield, decorated with images of me fighting various monsters. "It's all finally over.... No more Kronos... No more Gaea... Only me and Annabeth." I told myself. I tapped the center of the shield and it shrunk into a leather strapped bronze wristwatch, encrusted with barnacle shells. I took my sea green necktie and knotted it on the collar of my blue-black tuxedo.

"Seaweed Brain!" Annabeth said, smiling at me as she stood on her tiptoes to give me a kiss. "Today's your big day. Oceanographer Perseus! Catchy." She took my hand and gave it a gentle sqeeze. "You'll do great. I'm so proud of you." I smiled at her and kissed her cheek, and led the way out of my room and into the streets of New Rome.
The distinct and mouth watering smell of brownies wafted through the moonlit streets as we walked towards the college. Annabeth had gotten her Architecture degree last week, and now it was my turn.
Soon I found myself standing in the wings of the auditorium stage while she gave my valedictory speech that she had written for me. My palms were sweating ever so slightly, my heart hammering in my chest. I always had a problem with nerves. Annabeth grinned and walked over to me. She held out her hand and I took it. I kissed Annabeth and we walked hand in hand to the forum, where I'd graduate as an Oceanographer.

So...@ the Bright one has given me a new idea..so I'm working on it. I know this chapter was short but that was because I've school tomorrow and lots of projects to do. Will post soon
