PERCABETH story

Piper turned me around in my chair and I yelped. I looked different, a good different. I was barely wearing any makeup I wouldn't be able to tell it was there if i didn't know any better. And my outfit. It was nothing fancy just a camo green shirt, jeggings, and this shawl like thing to cover the shirt . But it looked effortlessly beautiful and something i would put on but not know it.
"Annabeth?" I turned to face her. She was getting emotional.
"Thank you, pipes."
"No problem, Annie." I smiled and for a while we stood looking in the mirror.
"annabeth?"
"hmm?" I responded. Piper walked over to her dresser where all my clothes were laid out. She picked something out from behind the clothes.
"I remembered when I first met you, you were wearing these. You always did. And only now did I realizing, after hearing your story, it was after the mark of Athena you stopped." She held them out so I could see. It was my owl earrings. She must've found them tucked in the back of the drawer where I put them.
I shook my head no.
"my mom would probably find it disrespectful 'how dare she wear the symbol of my power while she gets engaged to a Poseidon boy. She is no child of mine!" I said in my best Athena voice. piper nodded and didn't push it and I wa strategic for that. But a part of me felt guilty for ever stopping to wear those earrings.
"Piper?" I asked her
"yeah? She said turning around.
"Can I wear those earrings?"
Piper smiled and handed my favorite earrings to me.
