What if it happened differently?
Chapter 2
The bell rang and Thalia and silena (who also had first period with me) dragged me along until we reached room 200 which was English with Mr. Birdie. I found the name odd but didn't say anything.
The rest of the day until lunch flew by.
I had second period with beckendorf which was math.
Third period was science which I had with Grover and Bianca.
Fourth was my elective which was an architecture which no one else had obviously.
I slowly and uncertainly found my way to my fifth period which was my mythology class.
When I walked in I saw Thalia, Grover, and percy all sittin around each other talking in hushed tones. I was going to slip to the back of the room when Thalia saw me and waved me over.
I stood there awkwardly like if been called over by a teacher.
"Hey Annabeth." Thalia smiled at me. I smiled back and stood there looking at my feet. Suddenly I heard Thalia laughing. I looked up confused.
"What?" I asked. She laughed even harder. I started to get angry.
"What?" I repeated.
"It's nothing. Just you're standing there like you're waiting for orders. Annabeth, we're friends now get used to it." She said smiling at me.
"Okay." I said smiling back. I took a seat next to them and the lesson given by mr. Brunner started. I already knew the basics so it was easy for me.
When the bell for lunch rang everyone shuffled out. I followed Grover, percy, and Thalia to where we were in the morning we all sat down on the bench and talked.
most asked how my day was so far and I said I really liked it here thanks to them and I meant it. Near the middle of lunch everyone had seemed to calm down. Percy was doing homework and Thalia was scolding him.
"Thalia! Please, be quiet! I have swim practice today and I need to get it done!"
"well how are you going to get it down if you've been looking at the same problem for the last ten minutes!" She argued.
I looked at Percy's homework which was across from me.
i don't know why but I spoke up,"Minus the two x from the five x and then minus the twenty-two from the hundred and divide by three. X equals 26."
Thalia and percy looked at me confused for a moment and I blushed then continued.
"twenty-six that's the answer to number one." I said.
Thalia smiled at me,"well if it isn't our math genius over here." She teased and I blushed again.
Percy worked out the problem the way I told him and sure enough the answer was twenty-six
"thanks." He said. I smiled at him.
"No problem." he smiled back.
Thalia looked between us.
"What?" I asked her.
"Nothing." She said unconvincingly. She was smirking
"Should I be scared?" I asked percy.
He debated the answer then answered,"Yes. Yes you should so be scared." He said smirking.
"Oh, shut it kelp head!" Thalia threatened.
"Kelp head?" I asked.
Percy just shook his head at Thalia like why am I friends with you but he was smiling, while Thalia burst out laughing because of my question.
"What?" I asked.
"Percy LOVES the beach. He would live there if he could and since he's a pure idiot when we were younger I decided to call him kelp head." Thalia said still laughing.
I got a strange feeling in my gut and I don't know why but just then the bell rang and Thalia dragged me off to our next class
