Camp Hogwarts

Hermione and Annabeth seemed to be getting along well, as were Percy and Harry. Ron was chatting with Will and Nico, and he seemed a bit shocked that they were actually a gay couple. He got used to the idea soon enough, though, and they were laughing at a joke that Will had made when I walked outside. Annabeth saw me and waved me over. "Hey," she started, "what did Chiron want to talk to you about anyway?"
"Um, he just wanted to give me this," I replied, and took out the bow. She stared at it in amazement.
"That's...wow. That's Imperial Gold. I haven't seen that since last year," she mused, looking at it. "It's beautiful. Does it transform? It would be kind of cumbersome carrying a full sized bow around while going through public areas." I looked at it, and plucked the bowstring. It shrunk into a small golden hair clip. For some reason, Annabeth looked like she was about to cry. "I guess Apollo decided to copy his sister," she said, her voice cracking. I wanted to ask what she meant, but Hermione cut in.
"Er, sorry to interrupt...whatever this is...but we should get going."
"That we should," agreed Ron, who was obviously eavesdropping. "It's getting a bit late...almost September 1st." I didn't know what that meant, but Harry definitely did. His face paled.
"Wonder what Snape will do," he muttered angrily. Then I remembered.The first day of Hogwarts is on September 1st, I realized.
"We should definitely go," I said loudly. Will seemed a little surprised by this outburst, but shrugged.
"I guess. Yeah, if we're gonna save the world..."
"Again," Percy and Annabeth added.
"...then we should go." And so, with a few goodbyes, we left.

Hermione Apparated us to the Ministry of Magic, after giving us each Polyjuice Potion. I turned into a fat old woman, with dark gray hair and a raspy voice. Will, of course, got the good pick, turning into a handsome man who looked about twenty with lightbrown hair and deep blue eyes. Nico was told to stay out and keep guard. Percy and Annabeth changed into an old man and a young woman. We headed in.
"Now, remember, er...Will, Percy, and Annabeth, you must act like you belong. Try to refrain from using any of your powers--it will only make them suspicious that you can use magic without a wand. Lena, you have your bow?" I showed it to her. "And your wand?"
"Twelve inches, made of birch, core of a unicorn tail hair," I recited.
"Good. That seems pureblood enough," she murmured. "And you, Percy?" Percy recited his measurements, Annabeth went through smoothly, and Will stuttered a bit but made it through with a believable lie. "All right," she nodded, seeming impressed. "Um...let's go." We headed into the elevator, when a tall, ugly man hopped on with us.
"Hm..." he grunted. "Reginald, I would've expected you to be down with your wife?" Ron looked at him blankly until Hermione elbowed him.
"Oh. Uh...yeah. I...uh..."
"Abandoned her, then? Good for you. Wouldn't know why you'd marry a filthy Mudblood anyway," he chuckled. "Anyhow, my office needs cleaning, and I'm headed down to your wife's hearing. Youwould want her to leave with her soul, correct?" Ron nodded frantically. "Then make sure you stop there." He left on that ominous note, and Harry, who was disguised as someone named Albert, left with him. Hermione left on the bottom floor, and Ron left on the third, leaving us four clueless demigods to navigate the Ministry.
"Um...so I guess...I work at anAuror's office," muttered Will, thumbing through a map of the Ministry. "Ah...second floor. Any of you coming?" Annabeth raised her hand.
"I'm working as a Healer who wants to come to the Ministry with an appeal for a new cure," I said, halting. "So...fifth, I guess."
"Oh, I'm your assistant," Percy piped up. "Let's go." We left and went to speak to someone namedDolores Umbridge. We asked where she was and a scraggly man with blond hair pointed us in the right direction.
"Thank you," I said politely, using my best British accent. Percy remained mute, because his British accent sounded as if it was a Scottish cat being strangled. A short, fat, toady woman greeted us.
"Hello," she simpered. "I am Dolores Umbridge, and you are..."
"I am Lucille Henera, a Healer at St. Mungo's, and this is my assistant, John Doe." Percy snickered, but I stepped on his foot and he shut up. "He's a mute. We're here to discuss a new cure for St. Mungo's hospital that could be used to help the Bat Bogey Hex more quickly."
"Ah. That would help, as there is one student in particular at Hogwarts who is notorious for her Bat Bogey Hexes. Can you show this cure to me?"
"Um, we'd actually planned to give you a presentation, and, er, demonstrate it on someone expendable," I lied.
"Oh, that wouldn't be a problem," Umbridge replied. "We have many Muggles and Mudbloods here at the Ministry right now. They're quite expendable," she laughed, and I tried not to punch her. "But I do not have the time right now," she tutted. "Actually, I have a hearing I must get to, for a Mudblood. Why, if you could come, and demonstrate it on the Mudblood before she gets her Dementor's Kiss, that would be wonderful. After all, we at the Ministry need some entertainment," she cackled. "Come, come, Lucille and John. You have work to do!"
And since we didn't know what to do, we followed her down to the ground floor.
