Paying the Price
Love is a flippant thing; it always strays from me to you
But if you're lucky and catch it so
you might be able to nourish it, help itgrow
Love is also a dangerous thing
No one can escape the pain, nor kid or king
The pain is a price we all pay
for if the love isn't right, it will decay
Our souls, hearts, bodies, and minds
People go cold, stop being kind
But for you my dear I will take that risk
Risk being wounded, risk being cut
risk bleeding, risk certain doom
But my dear you are my flower, this love has to bloom
I love you so, and don't care to say
this love was an accident, but I will pay this price today
My will give you my life, so if you just let me
I promise you will have the key
I love you to give you the key of life
where you will be happy with no strife
I love you, and want you to love
so goodbye my dear, I’ll pay the price
I will go as cold as ice for your warmth
stay safe my love, for darkness hovers
Give me peace, once I am covered
Give me hope for yourtomorrow
for I am giving it to you without sorrow
I love you my dear, so I will pay the price
Now if you help me go to sleep
I promise I won't say a peep
Goodbye my dear, your were so verynice
But now its time for me to pay the price.
