Seaweed Got Your Ankle

Get ready!

Percy’s POV
Percy set down his cereal bowl next to the box of fish-flakes.

"Wise Girl, Are you done? You're taking forever!" Percy spoke with his breakfast still stuffed inside his cheeks.

"Aw shut up, we have plenty of time. You should know I have my eye on the clock." Annabeth nearly yelled back. Percy rolled his eyes. Of course he knew Annabeth was always on top of things, but sometimes he felt in such a hurry...especially when their friends, that they hadn't seen for 3 years, were waiting just outside their hotel.

"Annabethhhhhh, Jason and the rest of them are waiting! He just texted me," Percy whined as he looked down at his phone's screen. (Who cares about phones and monsters, Percy could defend them anyway.)
'Hey, bro. Where are you? Having a little fun with Annabeth? Well too bad. Hurry up!'
Percy didn't realize he was still Jason's 'bro', after all, they hadn't seen each other in so long. Just as he finished his thought, a terrifying shriek sounded from upstairs, shaking the entire room. Percy thought his eardrums would pop.

"A-a spider! Percy! Get up here now! It's mo-mo-moving!" Percy raced up the carpeted stairs up to the bathroom where Annabeth had been getting ready, leaving his cereal still sitting on the table. "EAHHHHHHHHHH!" Annabeth cried again.

With a loud bang Percy succeeded in bursting open the bathroom door, breaking the door knob along with its lock. Annabeth stood inside, a hotel towel covering the main portion of her body. Annabeth stared in confusion. Percy stared back for another reason.

A familiar beeping screeched within Percy's back pocket, filling the once silent room with a phone's blaring ringtone. Percy regained his consciousness, quickly covering his eyes by slapping both palms to his eyes to block his view of Annabeth.

Beep-beep-bum-beep

"Percy, the spider! I'm your fiancé for the gods' sake!" Percy lifted two fingers off his eyes, finding Annabeth in the same position with the same (cute) terrified expression as before.

Beep-beep-bum-beep

"Th-the phone.." He stuttered.

"The spider, Percy! The spider!" Annabeth shrieked again. Percy walked over to the toilet paper rack -with his back facing Annabeth- and tore off a piece. He then walked over to the spider and smashed it, dead. Annabeth let out a sigh of relief. The phone stopped ringing.

“I need to text Jason….” Percy quickly looked downwards at his phone to avert his eyes away from Annabeth.

“If you are going to text Jason then can you leave? I could use a little privacy,” Annabeth complained. Percy rolled his eyes and shut the door behind him when he left. Didn’t she just say that they were fiances and that seeing each other undressed was okay?

He walked out of the bathroom, shaking his head, and read through recent texts after sending one, himself, to Jason. Piper sent something- (geez, did both have to text him 24/7?),
'Get your girl down here! you two are taking too long & we’re going 2 be late!
p.s. tell her that I have a special surprise for her - pipes
'

“Piper's waiting, Annie,” Percy said, "and with a surprise too." There was silence. (something that didn't happen much in the Jackson house, too often) Bang! The sound echoed through the hotel room. “Annabeth!" Percy nearly yelled.

“I’m fine. A shampoo bottle fell off the counter. Can you give me ten more minutes? I just need to change then do my hair." she replied. Percy glanced over at the clock nervously.

Great update!

Thank you! It's supposed to symbolize the seven being pulled back into dangerous events(if that makes any sense)
