Seaweed Got Your Ankle

Annabeth’s POV
Annabeth, being Annabeth, was aware of the time and began to rush. With Percy's complaining in the background, the stress began to build. She threw on a tan cardigan over her white t-shirt. Quickly, she shook out her hair and tumbled down stairs.

"Finally," Percy groaned. "Let's get a move on, shall we?"
Annabeth urgently laced her white converses.
"Out the door we go,"

Bzz, Bzz
Annabeth hadn't even noticed her phone until then. She slipped out her vibrating phone and looked through her 64 unread messages. Most of them from Piper and/or Leo. Laughing, she typed back.
'On my way down. See you there in 5.'
As they advanced down the hotel hall, Annabeth ran over thoughts in her mind, making sure she wasn't forgetting anything important.

That’s when she halted, “Shoot! Percy, did you bring my dagger? I can't believe I forgot!” She did an urgent check through her backpack.
Percy stopped next to Annabeth, “Did I do-- what?”
“My dagger, gosh darn it, my dagger,” Annabeth frantically looked through her pockets and other belongings, “Do you have it with you?”
“Well, I - Uh,” Percy paused, “...No.”
“Shoot.”
“Calm down, its not as if we’ll need it.”
“We might. Most the time monsters appear when we least expect them.” Annabeth explained.
“Well, you have a point there….whatever,” Percy smiled, “I’ll just have to protect you with my mighty awesomeness.”
Annabeth's expression softened a little.
“Oh my gods. Fine, lets go.”
Together they raced out the hotel’s double doors.
