Seaweed Got Your Ankle
Can we eat?
“Percy!” a voice from the distance beckoned them over. Immediately, Annabeth recognized Jason’s voice, although it had changed some. He sounded more cheerful and less stressful than when they had their quest together. Annabeth looked up to find Percy’s baby seal eyes light up with a smile.
After a small exchange of greetings and hugs, Piper, Jason, Annabeth, and Percy got in a taxi. Together in the taxi, they headed over to the restaurant in Italy where they would meet the others. Reyna would be there too. Annabeth wondered if Piper would be okay, and looked over at her to check her current state. Piper was in a cheerful mood, laughing at whatever lame joke Percy had made. Annabeth smiled. Finally they could all be together, without the constant worry of gaea business or the uncomforting division of Rome and Greece.
By the time they got there, Annabeth’s stomach had already been grumbling, for what felt like, years.
“Oh, I am starving,” Piper commented, “ May I pray to the Gods that they’ve already ordered.”
“Amen to that,” Percy agreed.
“Well, we have alright, there is plenty to fill the mouths of the children in all of Italy for a lifetime,” Leo stood at the front of the restaurant’s doorstep, “Too bad it’s all for me.”
From the familiar glint in his eye to the signature crook of his smile, you could tell he was joking. A wave of nostalgia hit Annabeth.
“Leo!” Together they yelled in unison. Piper released her bags and ran forward into him, nearly toppling him over. Jason and Piper had brought their luggage to find a place to stay after the meal. They had been on an extravagant worldwide travel and hadn’t had the time to settle into one of the Italian hotels as early as Annabeth and Percy had. After this trip, the two planned on taking a vacation to Taiwan. Piper had offered to have, both, Annabeth and Percy join with, however Annabeth turned them down. She and Percy were going to stay put in Italy to look through potential homes before their Marriage in (next) June.
“Its so great to see you!” Piper exclaimed, still in a tight hug.
After releasing Leo, Piper ran over to Jason, who was still unloading the taxi, with help from Percy.
Leo turned to Annabeth, “The others are inside and i’ve already ordered your favorites.” he nodded over towards the restaurant.
“How’re you?” Leo smiled.
Annabeth’s terse reply was to the point, “I just need some pizza.”
Notes
Hey! Something I edited and wrote today. Is it okay that the chapters are this short, Or should I begin writing longer chapters? If you haven't noticed, I ship Liper as a friendship pretty strong. c:
