Two Demigods, Seven Years: Book One

I woke up about a month and a half after my birthday and got out of bed. I had known I would be too lazy to shower in the morning, so last night I had even blow dried my hair.
The heat was like an electric blanket over everything.
I put on a white tank top that had Earth on it, with the words "Peace now!" on top and a pair of bright, multicolored plaid shorts on. The shorts were made of a cool, thin, loose material, so it felt a bit like being in pajamas.
I plugged in my earbuds, the kind that had the adjustable bits to fit your ears, and was hit with the first verse of Smile by Avril Lavigne.
Meryl was up just as soon as I was, and put on a black tank top and a loose red, yellow and black plaid infinity scarf. She won the award for "Maddest for Plaid." Soon after she had tossed her belts aside because her red cotton shorts were comfortable and a belt would just ruin it, we heard a knock on the door.
When Meryl opened it, and Rikki had already raised his hand to knock again.
"Rikki?"
"The one and only. Chiron wants to see you."
Then he saw a younger camper struggling with a sword nearly twice his size and ran off.
Meryl and I slid on our flip flops and slowly made our way towards the Big House. It was so hot that even though it was early, the dew on the grass had evaporated.
"Ahh, I've been expecting you, girls! Come in, come in. "
Chiron opened the door before we could knock.
We sat down on the couch and Chiron handed each of us a letter. Mine said:

HOGWARTS SCHOOL
of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

Headmaster: Filius Flitwick


Dear Ms. LaRayn,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

"What the-"
"Young ladies, not only is your mother a Greek goddess, but your fathers were both wizards. You are the first demiwizards in recorded history."
That's when I sat down and dumped the pitcher of ice water sitting on the coffee table over my head. Meryl collapsed onto the couch.
"Ah, well... that was interesting."
Chiron handed me a towel and Meryl (snickering at my reaction) a glass of water that had already been poured.
"Hey, how was I supposed to know I didn't have heat stroke? I could have been hallucinating!"
"But you weren't." said Chiron, looking just a bit amused.
"One last thing. This school is in England."
I looked at Meryl. Meryl looked at me.
"Hey Rita?"
"Yeah?"
"Wanna do that stupid jumpy thing that excited girly girls do?"
Meryl and I grabbed hands and jumped up and down screaming, "WE'RE GOING TO ENGLAND!!!!!" over and over again for a good thirty seconds.
"Now, somebody should be here to take you shopping for your school things right about-"
Puff! went something outside.
"Ello? Ah, you must be zis Meryl and Rita I have heard about!" said a beautiful French lady with platinum blonde hair.
"Sorry we're late. Victoire had a, em, mishap with a hairdryer. I don't know how she and Fleur handle so much hair."
A man with a terribly scarred face and thick British accent walked into the room, but it wasn't hard to look at the two of them with curiosity instead of anything else.
"Rita, Meryl, this is Fleur and Bill, two wizards who will be taking you to Diagon Alley to shop for your supplies. Enjoy their, hmm, method of travel!"
He handed each of us a list that said:

UNIFORM
1.Three sets of plain work robes (black)
2.One plain pointed hat (black)
3.One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
4.One winter cloak (black, silver fastenings,)
Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry a name tag.

1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)
1 set glass or crystal phials
1 telescope
1 set brass scales
Students may also bring an owl OR cat OR toad.

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICKS


"And we need to buy all of this?"
"With what?"
"I believe your fathers each gave you a budget for which you may buy your own school things." Bill said.
Fleur held up two small bags and jingled them.
"Let's go shopping!"

Notes

Just so it's clear, they're going to school the year the "Nineteen Years Later" thing happens. So, they'll be in school with Harry and Ginny and Ron and Hermione's kids....

MWAHAHAHAH!!!!!!
