After-Fight

Chapter 7 [Thalia's POV]
I came back to school on Monday from a long and dull weekend. I wondered around until I saw Percy and Annabeth.
Percy was whispering something to Annabeth and looked worried but Annabeth just shook her head.
Percy looked up and saw me walking towards them and smiled weakly.
"Hey." I say to them.
Annabeth looks at me relieved.
"Hey Thals." She said.
She looked shaken up. "You okay? You look shaken up." I say.
"Ugh!" She responds throwing her hands up in the air frustrated.
I look to Percy and he mouths nightmares. I nod.
"I'm fine, you two!" Annabeth says.
"Both of us? Yup Annabeth somethings wrong. You're best friend/boyfriend person and your sister/best friend person both think somethings wrong. Not to mention when was the last time Percy and I agreed on something?" I ask raising an eyebrow, waiting for an answer. I hear Percy laugh.
"I'm fine." she says. The bell rings then.
"Saved by the bell, Annie." I mutter to myself but Percy seems to hear it.
"Come on guys, you two need to meet my stepdad."
We walk into the English Classroom.
"Paul." Percy says.
"Mr.Blofis." Paul corrects.
"Mr. Blofis. I'd like you to meet two new students. Annabeth Chase and Thalia Grace." Percy introduces.
"Hello Annabeth, hello Thalia." I nod in response.
"Hello Paul-Mr.Blofis." Annabeth says a corrects herself.
We take our seats as the late bell rings.
The rest of the day just drones on, it gets worse throughout the day with my dyslexia .
Finally, the day ends.
Percy, Annabeth and I walk out of school from our Greek class. Annabeth and I have been riding home with Percy because he's the only one of u that has a car. Apparently he got Paul's car because he dented the hood. But Percy seemed fine with it.
"Thalia? Your place?" he asks.
"Yeah just drop me off there."
"Percy, today you need to drop me off at Olympus, okay?" Annabeth says.
"You're still working there?" I ask.
"Of course. I'm the offical Architect of Olympus." She says proud.
"Watch it Annie. You're hubris is showing."
She glared at me but I just stared back with a smirk on my face.
"Here we are." Percy says in between our staring contest.
"Thanks. See you guys tomorrow." I say
I hop out of the car and head towards the front door not looking back.
I throw my backpack on my couch. My apartment was stacked with awesome furniture thanks to the hunters.
Man, I wished I could be there. Here everything was so dull. I truthfully don't have any friends here I mean you could count Percy and Annabeth but ever since there little trip down below I don't really have my little sister. She never lets Percy out of her sight and Percy does the same. She doesn't seem to have fun anymore, not like I do either
"Ugh!" I say in frustration
I try to do my work knowing that's what Lady Artemis would want me to do. But eventually it gets dark and I'm tired so I stop.
I head to my room and crash down on my bed.
Demigods always get nightmares but since I joined the Hunters I haven't been haunted by them at all unless it tells me of the future. Tonight was different.

I looked around at where I was.
Mt. Tam. Oo yay! Always happy memories here, right?
I hear my voice. But it isn't me speaking.
I turn and see myself battling Luke. I turn once more and notice that the battle is raging on. Percy's attacking Atlas. And everyone else fighting too.
But somethings different this time. The words exchanged between me and Luke are different.
"Thalia this is what we talked about."
"No Luke. We talked that we were mad at them. Not that we would overthrow them!"
"Their time is done! They don't deserve to rule!"
"You can't change this Luke! You know what will happen. Its not to late. Stop this!"
"It is Thalia! Its too late!" he had a look that made me think that he wanted this to stop.
We go on fighting for awhile.
"Thalia join me. We're just continuing the tradition"
"No, you're a jerk. You started it all. There will be deaths because of you! I won't- just because I'm mad. Yes, the gods are horrible parents. but I won't overthrow them because of it! Things can-" I heard my voice crack. "Change." I barely make out. We're still fighting. The words hit me in the chest. Its what I wanted to say all those years ago but I never let out.
He laughs,"Change? You think after thouands of years the gods can change their ways."
"I really do." I say with anger.
I hear Annabeth calling gout to us. I recognize whats going to happen next and I turn away.
When I turn back around I'm at the edge of the cliff with Luke on the ground below.
I didn't realize it before but I have tears running down my face.

I wake with a start, tears running down my face.
I quickly get dressed and grab my bow.
I walk all the way to central park. I stand by the lake and aim my arrows at a tree, not thinking if at the moment a nymph is in there.

25. All dead in the center.
"Ugh!" I go up to the tree and grab my arrows.
"Thalia?" I hear someone ask.
On instinct I let an arrow fly.
The person ducks and rolls while I knock another arrow in my bow.
"Gods Thalia. Its just me." Percy says.
I lower my bow.
"Oh. Hi." I say.
"Hello to you too." He says slightly annoyed.
"Oh it was your fault Jackson. You should've seen that I had my bow in hand and that it was midnight!" I say not in the mood to talk.
"Why you up so late?" he asks.
"Same goes to you." I snap.
"Jeez Thalia. It was just a question."
I grit my teeth.
"Couldn't sleep." I say. Percy nods.
"And you?" I ask
"Same so I decided to go take a dip in the lke when this nearly hit me." He holds out a silver arrow. The one that bounced off the tree and into the lake.
I take the arrow from him.
He's silent for a moment.
"Was your dream about Luke?" he asks.
"What?"
"Was your dream about Luke" he repeats.
I grit my teeth. Eventually I nod.
"Thalia. You still blame him."
"No, I don't Percy." I spit.
"Yes you do. And you shouldn't. He's the reason all demigods get recognized."
"Do you ever shut up?"
"You should know by now that I don't"
"Well than why don't you try to chnage that." I say.
"For winter break Annabeth and I are going to Camp half-Blood. You should come."
"I'm going to the hunt." I state even though I wasn't planning on that.
"You can't be afraid to go back there."
"I'm not!"
"Thalia, thats still you're home. No matter how long you'll be with the hunters. You know they see it as a dump. You'll let them diss your home?" I can see he's getting mad now.
"I was there for only a few weeks! The rest of the time I was a tree!"
"Are you saying it was never your home?"
"I've never had a home! That was theirs! I chose to not make it a home when I tried to protect them."
"Home doesn't have to be a place."
"Oh what have you been doing Jackson? Spending time with Hestia and Hera?"
''And how about you? Spending time with people who diss the home of the people you tried to protect? Listening to them diss your friends? You're family?" Percy says.
"Goodbye, Kelp face!" I say walking away, resisting the urge to shoot one of my arrows at him.
"Whatever Thalia." he says back.
