Chapter 6 [Annabeth's POV]
It was now the weekend and Percy and I were at his apartment. Well, Sally and Paul's but they decided to take a trip to Montauk.
"So whatcha wanna do?" Percy said.
"Percy, I told you we have homework."
Percy cluck his tongue.
"Annabeth Chase, you've been at school for one full day and had a total of three classes. One of them being gym. How much homework could you possibly have?" Percy reasons.
"I never finished Mt. Olympus because of them closing it down and all that." Percy gives me a look.
"And plus what'd you expect? I'm a daughter of Athena." I take Percy's hands in mine,"Just let me do a bit of work and we can do whatever you want. Let me go get Daedalus's- " I stop my self, and grit my teeth. I hear myself take a breath my eyes closed.
"Annabeth-" Percy starts.
"Its fine. Lets go now but later we work, okay?" i say trying to sound put together.
Percy just nods and I hate how I can't tell what's going through his mind.
"Where to?" He asks.
I shrug. "I'm hungry. How about you?"
"Food is good." he says nodding. I smile at his seaweed brainness.
"Come on seaweed brain lets go."
We go for burgers and shakes and this sit down restaurant, drive around for a while, until we head back to his apartment.
When he unlocks the door I look around, its become a habit.
"Di immortales!" I curse myself.
"What?" Percy asks concerned.
"We lost track of time. I still have work to do!" I say looking at the clock. 8:03.
"There's still tomorrow." Percy says
"I guess but this needs to get done."
"Hey Annabeth?" Percy says pulling two cokes out of the fridge.
"Hmm?"
"How about for winter break we go to camp?" I stop what I'm doing
"Don't you want to spend it with Sally and Paul?" i ask.
He rolls his eyes "Of course, but we get like three and a half weeks off and Christmas is in the last week. So for the first week- Camp Half-Blood?" I nod
"I have a feeling the Romans will be there."
"Me too" he says.
We're silent for awhile.
"I don't think Leo's dead." he says.
"What?"
"I don't think he's dead."
"Why would you think that?"
"I've been having these dreams." I'm surprised because he hasn't told me this before through the Iris-messages.
After the war, Chiron basically rushed him off to school.
"Where do you think he is then?" I whisper not sure if he heard me.
He cracks a grin,"Where do you think?" I already know and I feel my face get hot.
"Calypso." He nods at my answer. I have mixed feelings about that. Happy for Leo but the other part of me doesn't want it to be true because of Percy. And from what he told me, when I was running around not knowing where Percy was in Tartarus it was because of her.
"I know." Percy says, like he could read my thoughts
I smile at him. Suddenly I yawn.
Percy laughs and lets go of one of my hands to drag me over to the couch.
"You need rest." he says.
"No I need o do my work." He rolls his eyes at me.
"Then lets watch TV." he says sitting on the couch.
I look at him.
"Okay." I say finally, sitting down next to him. Percy wraps his arms around me resting his head on mine.
He turns on the TV but I don't last long enough to see what he chooses.
Which is my mistake because the nightmares come.

We are running and we can see the Doors of Death. I look down at our hands interlocked but we don't have the death mist on us.
In the background I can hear Tartarus cursing at us.
"You can run from me, foolish heroes." I've heard that from every monster I've faced and Kronos and yet when Tartarus said it I felt it as true. We were at the Doors of Death now.
"You get right. I get left." Percy says motioning towards the chains holding the Doors down. We break them easily. I see Damasen fighting Tartarus and Bob and Small Bob fighting too. The scene was all too familiar which is what made the net part seem so real.
I heard Percy, standing behind him a telekhine.
I swing and it dissolves in ashes.
My brain can't process what happened.
"Annabeth, Go." I watch Percy say and he falls.
"Percy! No, Percy!" I say falling to my knees.

I'm jerked awake.
"No!" I say thrashing around someone holding me down. I feel tears on my face and my throat is sore.
"No!" I say once more not gathering where I am.
"Annabeth! I'm fine. I'm here. Annabeth, its me. I'm here." Percy voice snaps me back to reality.
I sob into his shoulder and my throat hurts from even that.
Percy stayed there rubbing my back while I sobbed.
"Do you want to talk?" Percy says.
"I-you-telekhine." I try to make out but I go to sobbing again.
"Shh. We're here. I'm with you. You're not there anymore." He comforts.
We stay that way until I'm done sobbing and slowly I lure myself back to sleep.
