The Afterlife

Everyone was still gathered around the table. Piper agreed to help even though "love" wasn't technically in the prophecy. She felt obligated too since she was Percy and Annabeth's friend too. Just as I was about to say something, Ella the harpy burst through the door.

"Ella, what's going on?" Hazel asked.

"Ella forget another detail!" Ella tried to explain. "The prophecy must be completed on the summer solstice or else it won't work."

"That's a week from now," Leo said. "It should be enough time to get everything. Thank you Ella."

"Oh and one more thing." Ella moved over and Reyna and Nico appeared at the doorway. Nico looked depressed and so did Reyna.

"Reyna!" I say. Piper gives me "the look" and I calm down. "And Nico, hey!"

"Hello everybody. I'm sorry I am late, my planes kept getting delayed and canceled," Reyna explained.

"And I say Reyna coming here so I decided to come too." Nico said.

"Okay, well we are glad your here. Now, we should explain," Frank acknowledged. We all took turns explaining what had happened about the prophecy and the potion to Nico and Reyna. They didn't say much and just nodded at the end.

"Next, we need to figure out the item of the past," I say. "What could it be?" We all heard the lunch bell ringing.

"How about we think about it and come back tomorrow with our ideas?" Reyna suggests. We all agree and head towards the dining pavilion.

I sat down at the Zeus table. As usual, I had to sit alone. I usually stayed at Camp Half Blood so I'm used to it by now. I noticed Reyna was walking around unsure of where to sit. We locked eyes and I made a gesture for her to come to my table. Piper was looking, but I'm pretty sure she knows I was just being nice. I would never cheat on her, ever.

"It's nice having you here, Reyna," I say.

"Thanks," she replies. "But, the camp seems so... Depressed."

"Yea, Percy and Annabeth had a huge impact on this camp. They were the camp heroes."

"So what do you think the item is?" Reyna asks. "I don't know much about them, so I can't really guess." She starts to eat her soup.

"Well, I'm still thinking. I don't really know yet." After I say this, we just eat in silence. I wondered where Percy and Annabeth are right now. They would have to be Elysium. I can't imagine them going anywhere else. They had been through way more then all of the Seven had. Those two had a hard life. They deserved Elysium. Once Reyna and I finished lunch we both got up and joined everyone else to go to the Arena.

TIME LAPSE

I layed in bed in the Zeus cabin. I tried to fall asleep for awhile, but I couldn't. I thought about the potion. "What could be the item from the past???" I wondered. I fiddled with the one bead on my camp necklace. Percy and Annabeth had way more beads than me. They had been going to the camp since they were kids. Wait...kids.... Then, it hit me!

TIME LAPSE

"Guys!" I yelled as I ran up to everyone. They were all sitting on the ground on a blanket by the dining pavilion.

"What is it Jason?" Piper asked.

"I figured it out. The item of the past is...." I say. "Percy and Annabeth's camp necklaces! They went to the camp for years and it's part of their past!

"Jason! You're right!" Hazel exclaimed. "We need to get the necklaces!" We all jumped up and ran to Percy and Annabeth's casket. We all stopped near it.

"Who's...going to open it?" Nico asked.

"I-I will," I say. I carefully open the casket to see Percy and Annabeth's bodies holding hands. I held back tears as I Carefully removed their camp necklaces from their necks. I closed the casket. I felt guilty for taking the necklaces. Piper seemed to read my mind and put her hand on my shoulder.

"Alright everyone," Piper said. "Now, we need to find the Symbol of the Future...."

I'm SOOOO sorry for not updating for like a week. I was really busy! I hope you guys like this chapter. Sorry if it's kinda boring, I feel like it is. Oh well.
