The New Addition To The Jackson Family

Okay, so I know what you are all thinking. How can’t Hazel just appreciate the time and effort that went into making the Percabeth babies? Well I do appreciate it. I actually thought to myself Wow wouldn’t it be nice if Frank proposed to me so that I could have ‘it’ with him and have his children. I accept their choices, there just not my choices. Because well I don’t want to do it unless it’s with someone I know and love as much as Frank. GODS WOULD HE JUST PROPOSE TO ME ALREADY! Plus, Annabeth is one of my best friends, and I trust her and her decisions, considering most of them saved my life. After Percy and Annabeth left Frank and I were still at the table. He ran his thumb over my knuckles.
“What are you thinking about?” He asked.
“Hm?” I said coming out of my daze. “Oh nothing just Percy and Annabeth.”
“You looked a bit uneasy when they told us.” Frank noted. He grabbed under my chin making me look up at him. I looked into his eyes seeing the concern and worry in them. “You are okay with it right? I know how you are with the no sex until marriage thing.”
“It’s not that I’m not okay with it. It’s just when they said it I felt something in my gut. Like a twist of pain.”
“Like how we all feel using our powers?”“Exactly. I felt something pulling at my gut saying that it was going to cause problems. Like major problems. But I don’t know what.”
“Hey, it’s getting late. Let’s head back to the fifth cohort and get ready for dinner.”
I nodded. I still felt the twist in my gut. I really wanted to lie down and sleep. Frank without asking picked me up and I squealed. He just laughed and carried me bridal style all the way back to my bunk. He set me on my bunk and I curled up to take a quick nap. I was kind of hoping Frank would curl up with me, but he didn’t we went to his bunk and sat on the edge with his back to me and something small in his hands.
I closed my eyes and faded into a black obis. Unfortunately I had a dream.
I was in a dark room. I heard faint voices getting louder every step the owners of the voices took. I knew I wasn’t supposed to be here so I hid behind what I thought was a boulder.
“They will be too powerful dear brother.” One deep voice said. “They must be killed.”“There has to be another way.” The other one said this one was higher pitched. “They would be so devastated if both died.”
“That’s the price they have to pay for not listening to your warning, Poseidon.” The deep voiced one said.
“Brother, how would you feel if Hazel or Nico died in battle against a monster they have no change in beating?” Said Poseidon.
My dad wants to kill demigods? What? Why?
“Look. Think of it this way if they two most powerful Titans have kids, what happens?” Hades said.
“You get powerful gods. Right?” Answered Poseidon.
“Right.” They were right in front of me. “Now if the two most powerful demigods have kids, what happens then?”“You get powerful demigods? Or is it quartergods?” That is definitely Percy’s dad.
Is he talking about Percy and Annabeth kids? He couldn’t be.
“It would be a demigod, you dumbass.” Hades facepalmed at the stupidity. “Your grandchildren or either going to be killed by my hell hounds or some wild monster. Or your son and daughter in law will be killed by some wild monster. We have three choices. I’ve made up mine. You should made up yours.”
“What about the house?” Poseidon asked. His eyes looking for some other way.
“I said I’d give up SOME of my power to this cause but you know that it will never be enough. I have spoke to the fates and they rarely give options. One way or another two will die.”
Then in a swirl of dancing spots I could feel someone shaking me. I woke up, rubbed the spots out of my eyes and saw a relieved Frank.
“Oh gods I thought you would never wake up.” He smiled. “You had a nightmare didn’t you?”
I looked down. “Yeah. A dream message from someone. Nico maybe? I don’t know.” I shook my head trying to process this information.
“What was it about?” Frank put one arm around my shoulder and the other on my side so that I curled up in his chest.
“Annabeth and Percy’s kids.” I replied shakily. “We should talk about it with Percy and Annabeth. It’s kind of important for them to hear and I don’t want to have to explain it twice.”
“Yeah, yeah. Good idea. It’s dinner time anyway.” He picked me up. “You seem a bit shaken. Is it okay if I carry you?” To respond I throw my arms around his neck. He carried my all the way to dinner.
“Frank! Hazel!” Percy waved. “Is Hazel okay?”“Yeah. She was just taking a nap and someone sent her a dream message. I’ll let her tell you.” Frank set me down.
“Well, to start. Annabeth I’m sorry that I didn’t say anything earlier. I really am happy for you both” I started off.
“Oh Haze! It’s great to know that I have some support. But what’s that look on your face. Is something wrong?”“Actually yes.” I told them about my dream. The conversation between Poseidon and Hades. There was some silence after. Percy and Annabeth’s faces we filled with too many emotions to pick one. “Are you guys okay? I mean, I know you aren’t okay, but you know know what I mean.”
“Hazel it’s a lot to process. In either situation two demigods die. It’s the choice of our kids lives or our our own.” Percy summed up. “Like we can’t let our kids die, and we can’t leave them. Even if it’s to protect them. They would be put into an orphanage or a foster home. Or even worse, they would be homeless.” His eyes started to water. Annabeth’s arms were around him
“Percy, trust me I know it’s hard but you still have what seven-ish months left to figure this stuff out. But I don’t think that the gods would kill a newly born kid. Would they?” I tried.
“If it means not losing their power… They might.” Frank said. “The gods love power. They might do anything to keep it. Like Percy, you said that the gods wanted you died because you could potentially take them down. Correct?”“Yeah. Is that happening to my kids too?” Percy asked.
“We don’t know the prophecy. No one does. Not even the gods. What if the kids are following in Percy’s foot steps and going to save Olympus? That could be it. Right?” Annabeth asked hopefully.
“I don’t know. All I know is that the life you both have dreamed of for so long isn’t going to come true. I’m sorry. Death is inevitable.” I had to admit.
Percy slammed the table. “AH! WHY IS EVERYTHING SO UNFAIR!”
“Percy, it’s okay. We can figure this out. We’ve cheated death before, we can do this.” Annabeth tried to calm him down.
Percy, now hyperventilating, said, “But, what if the kids can’t. What if we lost our touch. What if, what if, what if-” And Frank threw a glass of water on Percy.
“Nice touch.” I complimented my boyfriend.
“Yeah, Thanks bro.” Said the soaking wet Percy Jackson.
“Anytime.” Frank soluted.
Dinner came Frank, Percy, Annabeth and I talked about baby names and stuff like that. We made sacrifices to the gods. Then it was time to head back to bunks. Before we left Annabeth pulled me and Frank aside.
“I need to show you guys something. It’s a surprise, so you can’t say anything.” Annabeth pulled a black velvet box out of her pocket. “It’s a ring, for Percy. I want you guys to help me with the proposal. Could you guys do that?”“We would love too!” I answered for Frank. “Oh, Annabeth. The rng is so Percy! Where did you get it?”
“I had Leo make it.” She said. “I’ll explain more about the proposal later. I don’t want to worry Percy. Goodnight guy.” “Goodnight!” Frank and I said in unison. I hugged Annabeth goodnight and so did Frank.
Frank tucked me in and kissed me goodnight. I had somewhat of a nightmare at like midnight. I woke up screaming. Frank woke up immediately and curled up with me for the rest of the night.
