Okay, Annabeth being moody makes me moody. I do love her. Trust me. I fell into TARTARUS to be with her. Anyway, Annabeth was right about that vial. It’s a love poison that only a god/goddess can make. Why Aphrodite/Venus would give it to Reyna? We don’t know.
When we got off the train Annabeth just looked at me with her stormy grey eyes. They were sad, but they told me that we needed to talk. It’s been what two days since we had a conversion that didn’t involve yelling. Annabeth walked with Hazel and I with Frank.
“So are you two okay? I mean she still seems upset with you.” Frank ask.
“Honestly I don’t know. When she yelled at me yesterday for leaving Riptide everywhere I don’t think she was talking about Riptide entirely.” I told him
“What do you think she meant?”
“I think maybe my life. I haven’t done much to be husband/father material. Speaking of I need to call my mom to see if she can bring me a newspaper or see if she knows of any jobs that I can use my new degree in. The lowest I’m thinking is the local Aquarium and like prefered wise I’m think in a marine lab. Ya know?”
“That sounds great.” Frank said in surprise. “You really have matured Perce. I’ve very proud!”
“Thanks man. Wanna come with me to see Leo for my dPhone?”
“Yeah sure.” I started walking. Frank called behind him to Hazel, “Babe, I’ll see you later. Going to help Percy with something. I’ll be back later.”
“Okay, love you!” she called back.
“Love you too!”
Frank and I walked to bunker nine, talking about boners and shit like that. We got to bunker nine. I never knock, unfortunately. Calypso and Leo were... being frisky. Caly was naked with fur lined handcuffed around her wrists. Leo was also naked.
“OH GODS! PERCY!” Leo screamed covering Calypso.
“Sorry!” I screamed back. “I need to learn how to knock.”
“Yeah, you and Annie.” he said. I looked down when he said ‘Annie’. “Oh, are you two okay?”
“Yeah, no. I don’t know!” I sat in his spinny chair.
“Um, boys. Hate to be rude here. but, COULD YOU LEAVE!” Caly ordered.
“We just came for Percy’s dPhone.” Frank said. Gods was he blushing! I don’t think he’s seen Hazel naked.
“It’s right here.” Leo handed me the phone. “Bring it back later.”
I got up. “Thanks. Um, good luck with-” I gestured to the bed. “That.”
“Bye Percy!” Calypso was very annoyed that I was still here.
Frank and I ran out the door. We did not want to see Caly even more upset. She was a goddess after all.
“You should talk to Annabeth.” Frank said.
“Maybe. Hold on I’m calling my mom.” I searched in my contacts for ‘Mom’. The dPhone is a demigod version of the mortal iPhone. I clicked my moms contact and called her.
“Percy! How are you baby?” She said answering the phone.
“Hey mom. I’m good.”
“HI MRS. BLOFIS!” Frank yelled in my ear into the phone. Oh yeah. They got married a few years ago.
“Is that Frank?” She asked. “Hi Frank.”
“She says hi Frank.” I told him. “Anyway. Mom can you look for jobs for me. Like call places I can use my marine biology degree.”“Of course Percy. I’m so glad that you want to get off your lazy ass and work to support your upcoming family.”
“Thanks mom.” I said with a hint of sarcasm
“You’re welcome. Okay I should go. Leo’s work isn’t flawless. Monsters can still sense it. I love you Percy. Bye sweetheart.”
“Love you too mommy. Bye.” I hung up and turned to Frank. He was making a face. “She’s my mom! I’m supposed to love her.”
“I know, I know. Just a grown man saying ‘mommy’ is kinda funny.” He snorted.
I pointed at him with a small smile. Just enough of a smile for him to know I was just joking, “Shut up Frankie!”
He put his hands up in surrender. I nodded in the direction of the dining pavilion. It was almost lunch. The worming horn had sounded when I was on the phone. I clapped Jason on the back when I saw him. He and I were allowed to sit together because we were both the only ones in our cabin. Being children of the big three and all we don’t have siblings. Well Jason does but she joined the Huntresses who don’t like to visit much. And I have Tyson but that’s a different story. I first looked at the Athena table. Annabeth was talking with some of her siblings while other read book/scrolls. She pulled her hair to one side and caught a glimpse of me looking at her. She tried to look angry but she was sad. After this I will talk to her. Jason tapped my shoulder.
“What’s wrong with her?”
“I don’t know. I think a lot of things. Maybe the pregnancy? I don’t know. We haven’t had a decent conversation in a few days now.”
“Oh wow. Have far is she? she looks huge.”
“I think she’s 4 months in with twins.”
“TWINS!” Jason shouted, silencing everyone. Annabeth put her head to the table as if she were ducking from the embarrassment.
“SHUT UP BRO!”
“Sorry bro.” He said outing his arms. “Bro-hug?”
“Bro-hug.” He hugged it out. There were some whistles and cheers and shit.
I just kept eating and looking around at my pack of friends. Frank was at the Ares table talking to Clarisse about spear heads. Hazel and Nico sat together at the Hades table. Piper sat with her siblings. Leo was nowhere to be found. He was probably still with Caly. Everyone seemed happy but me and Annabeth. Jason was talking but I was half listening. It was something about how he and piper hit a rough pat but they are now really close. Closer than ever.
“Hey.” Nico sat at our table.
“Hey Neeks.” Jason piped up.
“Don’t call me that.”
“Can I call you Mr. Sunshine.” I laughed. Jason joined in once he got it.
“THAT IS NOT FUNNY!” Nico shouted. Will looked over. Nico waved to say everything was fine. “I came to tell you that Annie over there is seeing Will for another ultrasound after lunch. I only know because Will and I were supposed to hang out after lunch. Maybe so stuff.” He blushed at that.
“Okay. Why are you tell me?” I asked puzzled.
“BECAUSE WILL NEVER CANCELS.” He half yelled. Not loud enough for other to hear over but still he seemed upset.
“I’m still not following.”
“Is she bleeding? he asked.
“I don’t-” I was thinking back on the past few days. Annie was acting weird. Kind of like she does on her- OH GODS NO! “OH GODS!”
“That isn’t good Percy.” Jason looked just as scared as I felt. That’s my child inside her. There can’t be anything wrong.
Annabeth got up and cleared her plate into the hearth. She was praying really hard. Was there something wrong with the baby/babies? Will shortly followed. I cleared my cheeseburger and blue waffle fries and slowly followed Annabeth and Will.
