Children of the Gods

I rolled down the stairs. "Damn." Everyone just looked at me like they were going to laugh. Percy and Annabeth had come into the house. They seemed to be about 17 or 18. They looked like they had been talking to the others before I had come crashing down the stairs. I tried to get up, but unfortunately me being the clumsy person I am, fell over. AGAIN! Everyone burst out laughing. I was a bit perturbed, but only because Amara was laughing. I wanted to high five her, in the face, with a chair. Everyone else I am pretty chill with even though I don't know Percy or Annabeth yet. Dean helped me up even though there was still that amused glint in his eye.
"Nice necklace." He said.
"I found it in my drawer. I got it years ago." I said in an embarrassed voice.
"We were just talking about you." Percy interrupted before we could into depth about how amazing my necklace was.
"Do you realize how creepy that sounds?"
"You know, about who your godly parent is?" Annabeth continued, with no consideration to what I had just said.
"Well, obviously it's a god, but honestly I have no idea who it could be." I said a bit sullenly.
"We will have enough time to figure out each of your parents when we get back to camp." Annabeth said hurriedly. She started to look nervous. "I think we should get going. We've been here for too long." Speaking to Percy and Lyle, she almost whispered, "We all know what happens if we don't look out for monsters." She seemed like she was going to say something else too, but didn't. Percy and Lyle just rolled their eyes at her like they were perfectly aware of this.
"So are we gonna go, or not? Amara interrupted the small silence,"I want to go get my stuff."
As soon as she finished her sentence something that looked at first, like a dodgeball soared through the wall.

Sorry for the short chapter. I have had writers block and this chapter really isn't that good. Also I haven't updated for almost two weeks, but that was partially due to a trip that was in a zone with no wifi. One more thing thank you for over one hundred views. That makes me happy. I am working on the next chapter and hopefully it will be longer and better than this one.
