Children of the Gods

The fight didn't take long with both Percy and Annabeth fighting the giant. They fought the beast mostly tag team switching who was attacking and defending, slicing at the giant. At the end they attacked at the same time stabbing it in the gut. It collapsed into golden dust which fluttered into a pile on the ground. Annabeth and Percy ran toward us. As Annabeth and Percy approached the chariot I realized something.
"Hey, guys, how are we gonna all fit on the chariot? I felt for a second that they had made some sort of mistake.
Percy's eyes lit up."That's why we brought Mrs. O'Leary!"
Dean shot him a look of confusion. Amara just stared in a different direction a look of horror on her face. Percy pointed his finger in the direction Amara was staring. Lyle looked he had swallowed a huge bucket of nope. Both Dean and I turned our heads to see what he was pointing at. A poodle? No, wait it was a huge dog bigger than a wolf or a German Shepard. The dog was around the size of a garbage truck. I wasn't afraid, but seriously a giant dog.
"How will a dog help us get anywhere?" Amara asked with a look on her face, I can only describe as hilarious.
Percy eyed her with amusement. "Shadow travel."
"Shadow travel?"
"I don't exactly know how it works. Something to do with connected something or other, but I know that hell hounds and other beings of the underworld can do that. It will take a while longer than the chariot, but you know it's better than nothing." Percy continued. "We can take two people besides me on Mrs. O'Leary. The rest can go on the chariot. She can't travel long distances without getting tired."
"I can go with Percy." I volunteered.
"I'll go with you." Dean added.
"Ok, we've got ourselves sorted out so, we can go now. Right?" Amara remarked regarding the hell hound with disgust. Clearly not a fan of dogs. Continuing she whined, "I want to grab my stuff."
"We are both going to stop by each person's house, be patient." Annabeth almost scolded. She started to get the pegasi ready for the journey feeding them a few carrots. "We'll go in just a second."
Percy was playing Mrs. O'Leary and getting covered with drool, dirt, and other stuff. To say the least Annabeth looked displeased.
"Percy! We gotta go!"
Percy stood up pushing Mrs. O'Leary off of himself. "Okay, okay."
Mrs. O'Leary laid down to make it convenient for people to get on. She shuffled around to make it comfortable for her. Laying down she appeared to be like a massive dark log except her large eyes blinked peering in our direction. Percy climbed up first. Or should I say tried to climb up first. He slipped and fell because of the slippery dog fur. And gravity. Needless to say, everyone laughed. Percy smiled like this happened all the time. He tried to climb up again. This time he gripped the thick black fur and with a small groan hoisted himself up.

Sorry for waiting so long before I posted this chapter. I wrote the chapter than I went on a week long vacation with no wifi. Also I wrote most of the next chapter already so that will be posted sooner than normal. Again thank you for so many views. It makes me happy to see that people are reading my story.
