All Is Fair In Love And Friends

Riley Jackson glanced out the window, watching the trees roll by. Her baby brother, Theo, was sucking his thumb, rolling his sea green eyes around in his head, and playing with his mop of unruly blonde hair; totally oblivious to the fact that his favorite big sister was being sent to camp.
Not just any camp, but Camp Half Blood.
Riley knew her parents had met there, she knew it was mandatory she was sent there, after all, she wanted to live. But what she didn't understand was why she had to go there year round.
"Are we there yet?" She asked.
Her father, Percy Jackson chuckled from behind the wheel. His sea green eyes twinkled. "Almost....why?"
Riley tucked her dark hair out if her stormy gray eyes and widened them, hoping for an innocent look. "No reason.." She smiled.
"Liar." Percy laughed.
Riley's mom, Annabeth, swatted her husbands leg. "Maybe she just doesn't want to be late." She smiled.
Percy chuckled again, but then got a far away look in his eyes. "I hope we can catch the others when we get there, it's been wayy too long since we've seen them."
Annabeth patted his knee, "I sent an Iris message to Hazel, Piper, and Calypso already, they said they'll try to be there by 2:30. Besides, you saw them last year at Hazels baby shower, Seaweed Brain."
"What would I do without you, Wise Girl?" Percy mock sighed.
"You'd make your own blue pancakes." Riley said.
Annabeth laughed, "You got that right, Riley. Oh look! We're here!"
Riley swiveled towards her window. There was nothing in sight except for tons of trees and a hill. And even that had a pine tree standing on it. Then Riley noticed something curled around the base, and something golden shimmered in the branches.
Riley got out of the car and stretched. Her father did the same. "Hey Dad."
"Yes?"
"What's that...that thing curled around the pine tree?"
"That, my darling daughter, would be a dragon."
