All Is Fair In Love And Friends

Lucas Valdez was already hauling his luggage up the hill when he saw a black SUV roll down the road. The car stopped, and a man with dark hair stepped out of the car. A girl with them same dark hair was stretching her legs.
His heart skipped a bit, man was she beautiful!
even from the top of the hill, he saw her large gray eyes, dark and stormy as rain clouds. He shook his dark brown curls out of his eyes.
The girl turned to the man, who was joined with a woman with curly blonde hair holding a baby boy with the same hair. The girl pointed towards the hill, and the man laughed.
"Lucas! How long does it take to carry your luggage over a hill? Seriously! Times a wastin' son!" Lucas's father called out behind him. Lucas tore his eyes away from the pretty girl.
"Coming Dad!" He yelled back. Lucas tripped down the hill, dragging his suitcases and muttering curses under his breath.
He finally reached the bottom, his parents were waiting for him with crossed arms.
"What took you so long?" His mother, Calypso, asked.
Lucas blushed. "There was another family here..." He began.
As soon as he said that, he wished he hadn't.
His father, Leo, loosened his posture. It went from impatient to jittery and excitement in a split second. His eyes widened and he let loose a mischievous smirk.
Lucas groaned, Leo was going impish on him.
"Did you see the parents? What color is their hair?" He asked.
"The man had dark hair and the woman had blonde-" Lucas got no further.
Leo whooped, "Percy's here! With Annabeth!" He jumped and flew over the hill, where yelps of laughter soon erupted.
"Lucas! Come over here!" Leo called out.
"Coming!" Lucas yelled. He went back to the other side of the hill.
Leo and Calypso were talking to the man and woman, Percy and Annabeth. He saw his mom holding the little blonde kid who was treating her forefinger as a pacifier while she talked to Annabeth. Lucas noticed his dad fist bumping and laughing with the man named Percy.
And then he saw her.
Lucas swallowed the lump in his throat. No way was he getting tongue tied now. He was a natural flirt, taking after his Dad. He gulped again and started towards the girl.
"Hey." He spoke up.
She looked up and smiled. Whoopee!!
"Hey. I'm Riley, Riley Jackson."
"I'm Lucas Valdez."
"Nice to meet you Lucas." She grinned.
Lucas couldn't help but grin back, "Yeah, you too."
