All Is Fair In Love And Friends

Serena Grace braced herself. As her parents, Jason and Piper, pulled up next to a black SUV, she went over her plans on introductions.
Her 13 year old little brother, Tyler, on the other hand, just hopped out the car and ran up to the base of the hill. Serena realized that this was going to be her home until she's old enough to leave. Yup, she was staying year round.
Serena watched from the car as her parents and the other adults tackled each other in hugs, gave high fives and fist bumps, and caught up from the last year since they've seen each other.
She also noticed a girl and a boy talking to each other and laughing. The guy was definitely cute, with dark brown curly hair, coffee brown eyes, dimples, and an olive complexion. The girl was beautiful. Her dark brown hair had tints of blonde at the edges, it fell past her shoulders and hung low against her elbows. Her large stormy gray eyes showed wisdom beyond her years. Serena noticed that that her expression was laid back and cool, but there was an undertone to it. She was forever ready to spring to action.
Serena bundled her caramel blonde hair into a top knot of her head. She got out the car and went straight to the other kids.
"Hi, I'm Serena Grace." She smiled.
"Hey, I'm Riley Jackson. And this is Lucas Valdez." Riley turned on Lucas. "Lucas? Lucas!" She smacked the back of his head.
Lucas regained focus. "Sorry, didn't mean to be rude or anything. As you know, I'm Lucas Valdez. Your parents were friends with my dad before Camp, right?"
Serena nodded, "I'm forever hearing stories about your dad at home. I heard that he hurled someone's clothes from a magic table during the Giant war."
Riley chuckled. "I can soo see that happening."
Serena and Lucas joined in. Serena felt that this was the beginning of a best friendship.
