All Is Fair In Love And Friends

Jasmine Zhang and her twin brother Nick climbed out of their car. Their parents, Frank and Hazel, were right behind them.
As soon as the family made it to the top of the hill, they were swallowed into a sea of out stretched arms and squeals.
Hazel laughed as three women tackled her with hugs. Jasmine recognized one of them; the lady with blonde hair and gray eyes, Annabeth.
Jasmine scanned for her husband Percy and their daughter Riley. She and Riley had hit it off last year at her mothers baby shower.
Speaking of which, Dad was carrying around Jayden like a prized possession. The women cooed over Jayden and Theo, Riley's little brother who was only 3 months older. The babies grabbed each others shirts and squealed.
Jasmine continued looking for Riley, no such luck.
"I hope you're looking for me, dearest." A sarcastic nonchalant voice sounded behind her.
Jasmine whipped around to face her best friend. She gasped. Riley had glowed up since the past spring. Her eyelashes had grown longer, her dark hair had grown longer, her chest had filled out, her stomach had toned. Jasmine suddenly felt like a troll. But nonetheless, she smiled at Riley, whose eyebrows were raised at her hesitance.
"Hey Riley! It's awesome to see you again!" I grinned and punched her arm. I heard a cough and a clearing of the throat and suddenly became aware of the two kids behind Riley.
The girl had caramel blonde hair and her eyes shifted colors. The boy had dark brown curly hair and coffee bean brown eyes.
"Care to introduce me?" Jasmine smiled.
"Sure, why not? This is Lucas Valdez, Serena Grace, and Ty-" Riley was cut short. "Where the hell is Tyler?"
The girl, Serena, looked around and spotted him. She cupped her hands and yelled, "Tyler! Get over here!"
The boy turned, he had golden brown hair and blue/green/brown eyes. He started walking over, Jasmine noticed that he was a bit blurry.
"Why is your brother blurry?" Jasmine asked, turning towards Serena.
"What are you talking about?" Serena answered, shifting her gaze towards Jasmine.
"He's blurry, like an unfocused picture. In fact if I didn't know any better, I'd say...." She trailed off. Her blood turned icy. She did know better.
"Jasmine? What's wrong?" Riley asked.
"It's nothing, I don't know if I'm even right or not." Jasmine reassured her.
"Jasmine..." Riley's voice shook, but Jasmine didn't know if it was from fear or frustration.
"Okay, okay...I think....I think that Tyler's wrapped in the Mist..." Jasmine began.
"What?" Serena squealed. "That's impossible! Tyler isn't a monster!"
"I know, that's why I'm not sure if I'm right or not. But it does look a lot like Mist." Jasmine said quietly. Her curly black hair fell in front of her emerald green eyes when she hung her head. Her caramel colored skin heated red.
"How do you even know what Mist looks like? I thought it obscures us from seeing reality, and it doesn't really show..." Lucas said.
Jasmine looked up. "My mom can manipulate the Mist, she passed down that ability to me. So I know what it looks like, heck, I've used it before. But I'm still not super strong, so I can be wrong. Don't worry Serena, we'll figure something out."
Just then Tyler showed up, Nick in tow. Introductions soon followed and the group walked down the hill towards the big house.
But Riley, Lucas, Serena, and Jasmine all couldn't get the predicament out of their heads....
Jeez, they've been at Camp Half Blood for less than 3 hours and already they had a problem. And Jasmine knew it wouldn't be their last one either.

Notes

I might do a time skip in a few chapters, so don't get caught off guard if it says something like, "1 Year Later" or whatever.
