All Is Fair In Love And Friends

Serena kicked at the water. It had been eight days since Riley had fallen unconscious. But now, she was more of in a coma than unconscious. Serena ached for Lucas. He hadn't left her side since she collapsed halfway to the infirmary.
Except of course, when Chiron had to pry his fingers off of Riley, or whack him in the head with a pan to make him go to sleep...but that was besides the point.
Lucas. Serena thought about the half Latino, half Greek teenage boy. He definitely got his personality from his mom, Aunt Calypso. He was a lot more serious that Uncle Leo, who still would jump up and down and crack jokes like he was still 16 years old.
Serena kicked the water again. She watched as the ripples traveled over the surface of the lake, out to the other ends. She shifted her weight. The docks groaned. Serena heard foot steps thudding down behind her. She glanced over her shoulder, and caught Nick Zhang, her crush, running towards her.
Nick had healed nicely from his injury between the legs. He still walked a little funny, but he ran like the wind. Serena admired his cinnamon brown hair, slightly tilted emerald green eyes, and his tanned muscular form.
Nick came to a stop behind her, he was out of breath. Serena, puzzled, stood up and faced him.
"Nick? What's wrong? What happened? Is everything okay?" Serena drilled him with questions.
Nick caught his breath, "It's not me, it's R-R-Riley." he stuttered. Serena felt her eyes widen.
"What? Is she awake?" She asked.
Nick shook his head. "That's the thing! She's muttering 'Lucas...help me.' And a few minutes ago, she started shivering, and then crying, and then burning up, and then screaming, and then shivering again."
Serena's heart stopped. Literally, stopped. Her blood turned icy as a chill crept down her spine.
"Where's Chiron?" she asked.
"He's already at the infirmary, trying to wake her up." Nick answered.
"Well then let's go already! Riley needs us!" Serena cried. They shot off the docks. Serena felt as if she were running for her life. No, she was running for her friend's life.
Serena's eyes stung with tears. Whatever was wrong with Riley, she didn't deserve it. Riley was the cornerstone of their little gang. She held them together, kept them in one piece.
But, knowing who her parents were, that wasn't the least bit surprising.
Riley was the one who always helped everyone else before she helped herself. She lead the whole camp. Everyone looked up to her, came to her with their problems. And she gladly fixed them.
The tears spilled over. Riley knew how to make you laugh, smile, boost your self esteem, or whatever. Whatever was wrong with her at this moment, she didn't deserve it. She didn't deserve to be stuck in a coma, having nightmares, or horrific visions, or whatever she was seeing.
Nick and Serena caught sight of the infirmary. With a leap, they landed on the porch. It shuddered under the sudden impact. They heard voices inside.
"What's wrong with her?" a very grievous voice asked. The voice sounded familiar. Very familiar.
"We don't know, this only started a few minutes ago." Chiron's voice answered.
"Chiron, I have known you for 30 years. Surely you have seen something like this before." a female voice whispered.
"No, I haven't. I haven't seen anything close to this bad since you had night terrors of Tartarus." Chiron answered.
Tartarus? Who would have night terrors of Tartarus? Serena thought.
And then it hit her, Percy and Annabeth Jackson would. After all, they had fallen in their themselves.
Serena rushed into the infirmary. Sure enough, a man with Riley's dark hair and sea green eyes was talking to Chiron, as a woman with Riley's grey eyes and curly blonde hair was holding her daughter's hand. Tyler, Jasmine, and Lucas looked on. Theo Jackson, was at the foot of the bed, crying for his big sister.
And then, everything went still. The only words being heard was a barely audible muttering.
The muttering got louder, until it was whispering, and then whimpering, and then talking. Talking, as if she were crying at the same time.
Riley was saying, "Take me instead! She doesn't deserve to die! No! Bianca!"
Percy, Annabeth, and Chiron froze. They exchanged uneasy glances.
Serena caught Percy mouthing a name to Annabeth, Bianca di Angelo.
