Piper kept running her hands through her hair as she waited. Only a few minutes passed before Percy and Frank ran into the Big house.

"We're in town, Chiron sent us, says it was important." Percy rambled, taking a look at Piper.

"Annabeth, she's taken." Piper said, her voice failing her, instantly wrapped in a hug by both of her friends.

"It's true? That's why everyone was talking about it..." Frank mumbled, Piper sniffling but hugging both of them.

"We need to find her, and fast. I have a feeling they took her back to Tartarus. I know she's terrified of that place, she still has nightmares. Whatever took her is obviously bitter, and needs her terrified. Maybe they even want to kill her. She doesn't have a great relationship with some gods.... Or monsters...." Piper explained, breaking the hug and leaning onto the ping pong table.

"Ok, we gotta die." Percy said, holding up the cup's murky liquid.

"This isn't going to hurt, right?" Frank asked, glancing at both of them.

"No promises....." Piper frowned chugging it. The liquid tasted like cigarette smoke, candy, and salted tomatoes. Immediately after chugging, Piper doubled over and coughed hard, "That's disgusting."
But, it was working, her insides felt like fire,. Her entire throat was both dry and hot, her bones feeling weak.

"What is in this?" Frank coughed, dropping his glass, the glass broke on the floor. Percy coughed, clutching his chest.

"Well- it was all the stuff Will Solace let me grab for this. No idea." Percy croaked, dropping his glass, breaking. Frank dropped, a bit of blood escaping his mouth as he bled on the broken glass. Percy followed suit, and Piper felt like she was choking, dropping her glass. As she fell, she could see the glass shattered, all around her and in her skin. The blood dripped from her mouth as she lost consciousness. Her eyes fixed on a shard of glass, where she could barely see the blood leaving her nose. Then, it was all black.
