Avalon and I sat down in the big house. "Well, the way today has been going, I assume you brought us here to tell me that I'm not even really a demigod right?"Avalon sat silently, but looked at me with the scariest death stare imaginable from a pretty girl.

Chiron sighed and shook his head. "I brought you and Miss Stevenson here today to tell you that you two would be leading a quest, but I am starting to realize that she may need to find a new partner."

"Chiron..." I began to plead before Chiron interrupted me. "The reason you were not chosen to be a part of the quest earlier is that the camp leaders felt that you were not mature or disciplined enough to go out into the world. However, a new threat has emerged and we need our most talented and knowledgeable demigods to stop it. Your response to not being selected has made me realize that you lack the mental toughness to partake in a quest as important as this one."

Avalon attempted to charmspeak him. "Chiron you have to let Shane go."
"That's not going to work on me." Chiron said somewhat condescendingly.

"Sir, I want this so bad, you know I'm one of the best."
"My decision is made Shane and unless something happens to change that, it's final."

"I'll take them with me." A shadowy figure said, not much louder than a whisper as she emerged from the corner.

"Why would you do that Sadie?" Chiron asked.

"Well, with Dave gone, I'm the only other child of a Titan here besides Clio and I'm defiantly more qualified then she is."

While Chiron pondered whether or not to let my group go I was trying to figure out where Sadie had come from. "We're you there the whole time?" I confusedly asked. "I looked around the room like 4 times and never saw you. How did you do that?"
"I'm the daughter of Hecate so I know magic. I've got plenty more where that came from." Sadie stated.
Chiron smiled. "Very well, you three will make a very strong team, but beware you will face much danger when you arrive at your destination."

"Where are we going anyway?" Avalon asked.

"San Francisco."

That doesn't sound too bad, I thought. Gods, was I wrong.
