Gods and Defenders

Percy awoke, sunlight shining throughout his cabin; His blinds only leaving slits of lights along the floor and across everywhere the light touched, Percy stared, dazed, at the areas of light in which he could see dust circulating around the room. As someone squirmed beneath the hold of his arms, only then did he realize the weight upon them.
Drawing his attention away from the light and dust, Percy looked at Annabeth; His heart was fluttering as he looked down upon her. Her curls seemed to catch the light and bend it, her face had no emotion and she seemed at great peace. As one of her curls fell in front of her face, Percy started gently brushing her hair out of her face with the arm that had been resting above her only a second ago- All the while Percy's heart was still fluttering looking at the girl he loved.
Annabeth squirmed once again, readjusting her head on Percy's arm.
After a few minutes of Percy continuing to play with her hair, Annabeth squirmed one last time, her body turning to face Percy- Sleepiness evident in her eyes.
"Morning, Wise Girl." Percy told her softly, his voice raspy. Annabeth dipped her head so it was resting against Percy's chest; Percy re-positioned his arm so he could continue playing with her hair as she moved.
"Mmm. Morning." She responded in a small voice.
Percy felt amusement rumble through him at how tired she was. "Ready to get up and get breakfast?" Percy teased her mock-serious. The only response he got was her yawning, her fingers curling around his shirt. Percy slowly let her doze back to slumber, twirling and single curl of her hair, almost falling back to sleep himself.
The click and creak of the door, awoke his mind and brought his body to full attention, his hand ready to reach for the nightstand where Riptide was laying in pen form. His eyes watching the door,it creaked open and Jason's head peeped in, only opening to the point where his head could fit through.
"Di Immortales, Jason!" Percy exclaimed still quiet enough so Annabeth wouldn't wake up.
Jason came in, leaving the door a crack open.
"There's a breakfast meeting. You guys are supposed to be there." Jason whispered catching onto Annabeth's slumber.
"I tried getting her up, only this happened." Percy flinched as voice carried through the door, loud. "Jason?" Piper's voice rang; Her footsteps following her voice. The creak of the door came once again and Piper had appeared. Jason quickly putting a finger to his lips signaling her to be quiet.
Piper looked around the room while Percy rolled his eyes at the drawn crowd. Percy was confused as he realized Piper had joined him.
"Annie! Annabeth! Oh come on!" Piper came closer and gave Annabeth a nudge. "Annabeth!"
"Piper-"Percy started to say annoyed.
"Ajh!" Annabeth yelped and would've jumped ten feet if it wasn't for Percy's arm around her. Annabeth's body fulling awake now tried to sit up, Percy's arm in the way at first before he pulled away letting her swing upwards. However, she sat up so fast her brain hadn't comprehended the bottom of the bunk atop Percy's, hitting her head on it; Her hand went straight to her forehead; Her death stare straight to Piper. Percy sat up as well, waiting for his brain to process everything that had happened in the last few seconds.
"Piper!Just- ju- Just don't scare me like that, okay? Secondly, what?" Annabeth said bitterly, still rubbing her forehead which was slightly pink.
"Up and out. Breakfast meeting, remember? Be quick, we're waiting on you." Piper all too casually stated, shooting a smile at them; Percy couldn't tell whether to be amused or annoyed. Piper grabbed Jason's hand and they walked out the door, not bothering to close it.
"Ugh."Annabeth complained as she untangled the blankets from her legs shoving them to the bottom of the bed.
"Morning." Percy teased; Untangling himself from the covers, planting a kiss on Annabeth's cheek. Percy's brain settling on amusement
