The Life of a Titan

Mistakes Have Indeed Been Made

Creeping towards, Father's chamber, with the intent to kill him. Quite possibly one of the most nerve-wracking moments of my long life. Iapetus, Coeus, Krios, and I made it to the door without anymore incidents.

The doors were quite large, about twenty feet tall, and looked like the elevator doors to Mount Olympus, or the Doors of Death. The handles were about ten feet up, so I had to reach for it. Titans were only ten feet tall. The primordial gods were twenty. Rather embarrassing.

"Are you sure this is such a good idea, my brothers?" Iapetus asked. The silver man seemed quite worried.

"We are far too deep for you to be having second thoughts, Iapetus," Coeus replied. Being the Titan of intelligence, I trusted his word above most other's. We stared at the door for a few more seconds in silence. The seconds were drawn out, a side effect of being anxious, what with my power over time.

Krios and Coeus both grabbed a door handle, and slowly, painfully slowly, pulled them open. We crouch walked into the chamber. It was rather impressive. The floor was made of clouds and the night sky. The walls, stars, and the black void of space. Not the Void of Chaos, mind you. This and that were two different things. The ceiling had a large moon on it, that seemed to be inching across the sky. It seemed this room was connected to the time on this planet.

In a corner of the roon, a massive bed sat. Amongst the many pillows and thick sheets lay my Father. His hair white like the clouds, skin blue as the afternoon sky. Me and my brothers stealthily crouch-walked over to the bed. Once there, we simply stared. Here lay our Father, Lord of the Cosmos, sleeping. And here were we. Three Titans, with a threatening scythe and the intent to kill. It felt too easy. I could have simply chopped him up at any moment.

That is when the plan fell apart. Hyperion, in all his foolishness, ran into the room, skin blazing.

"KRONOS. YOU HAVE INSULTED ME FOR THE LAST TIME!" Hyperion bellowed. I glared at him and remembered the situarion we were in. I glanced at Father and my ichor ran cold.

His eyes were open.
