Not Really A Hero

Okay, confession time. I've had super strength like that for as long as I could remember. Back when my horrid mother was still alive, she made me hide it, and even after being at camp I still hid it. Even more so when I noticed it was the exceptionally powerful demigod that kept being sent to the wars, both with the titans and Gaea.
Yeah, some daughter of Ares I am. I avoided the wars.
I had a feeling that my life was going to get so much worse now. Chiron walked up to me, looking down at me in astonishment, as I quickly patted the flames in my hair out.
I looked the other way, pursuing my lips like a child.
"Walk with me," was all he said.
I followed him, while behind me, Miles and Roxie were looking at each other with panicked looks.
We reached the top of the hill, and looked down at the valley below us, and finally Chiron spoke. "How long have you had that gift?" he asked.
"Always," I mumbled.
"Why have you never spoken up?"
"I didn't want to be involved in the wars and stuff," I said, feeling guilty.
Chiron looked down at me. "Can you control it?" he asked.
I rolled my eyes. "No, I've just been keeping it completely to myself, when I have the world's worst fucking temper that likes to torment bitches like Drew."
Chrion frowned at my sarcasm, I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Yes I can control it," I said, for real this time. "I've had plenty of time to practice."
Chrion looked out at the camp with worry in his eyes.
"Please don't say I have to save the world," I begged. "I'd make a terrible hero, and you know it."
Chiron chuckled. "Maybe an interesting hero," he said. "But not terrible."
"Just please tell that there's no great prophecy about me," I said. "I work hard to be normal." Chiron raised an eyebrow. "Normalish," I corrected.
I should have known I'd never get my wish.
