The Hunter

“Show me” He had said
He now regretted and was thankful for that decision. He felt stronger, faster, and wiser. He had been enlightened. He had trained in the Oracle Realm for about 3 weeks. Time was frozen outside. He would go back just to where he left off on his quest.

Do you think you are ready?
The voice didn’t scare Percy, his instincts had already told him she was there.
“Yeah. It has been an honor, Great one, but I need to put my training to use. I need to go after her.”
I foresaw this. Everything you need is in your quarters. You have been given some supplies that you may need. I wish you luck in your quest.
“Thank you great one. I hope to see you again some day.”
Goodbye, Percy Jackson. I wish you luck in reclaiming what has been taken from you.
“Reclaiming… Reclaimer… I like it. I may adopt that as a title. Thank you again.”
Percy walked to his quarters and began to look through his supplies. He had his weapons: Riptide, Resurrection, and Pinpoint. He also had a new set of throwing knives on a belt, and the dagger the Oracle had given him; Retribution. It’s hilt was inset with two gems; a Styx ice stone and a Hestian gem. On of them shot ice, the other fire. Percy had trained with it and was quite good now. He had his gifts from Dionysus, and a bag of Golden Drachmas. There was one more thing in his bag. A shield. He took it out and examined it. The edges were razor sharp, it was a perfect circle, and on the front it had a symbol. A skull, made from obsidian, with glowing eyes.

Percy noticed a small package next to the bag. He took out the contents. A small launcher was inside. And a note. It read:

Use this to travel. Picture a destination and fire it at your feet. It won’t tire you like shadow travel, and has unlimited uses. Only you can use it. Good luck

Percy decided to use it when he got back. If he ever had to. He put on his battle armor, which was made from Stygian armor and fit under his robes. He attacked his weapons, and put on his helmet. He lowered the face guard and put his hood on. He was ready to go. He closed his eyes, and was instantly back with the hunters.

“Percy, what happened? You collapsed and now you’re wearing… wow. You look scary.” Artemis said, confused.
“Training. Sorry, I didn’t expect it either. But yeah.” He responded.
“Training? Training where? You just collapsed!”
“I’m sorry, I can’t tell you right now. When this is over, maybe.”
“O-OK”
Percy showed her his new weapons and tools. She was interested by Pinpoint, his compound bow, but was quite surprised by the pearl gun.
“I’ve never seen anything like this! You’ll have to show me more when this is over.” She said.
By now the hunters were stirring. They came out of their tents, yawning, stretching, things like that. Percy knew he had made the right choice. The Hunters were like family.
He was home.
