The Demigod Games

Sienna:
As Delilah steps out in front of us, I bring up my sword.
"What do you want?" I ask.
"I don't mean any harm. Please." She whimpers. She holds up her hands in surrender.
Jake puts a hand on my shoulder. "I don't think she could do much harm. Let her talk." He whispers.
I nod curtly. "Why are you here?" I demand
"I want to form an alliance. I'm all alone and I'm pretty helpless. Please, I have no food, no supplies or even a weapon." She cries.
I look at Jake and he looks at Delilah. "How do we know we can trust you?" He questions.
Delilah bursts into tears. "Please, I need help. I'm all alone. My brother Collin was killed yesterday. I am only 14!" She sobs.
I take a breath. "Come with us. We need to discuss it with the other girls. We're not making any promises yet." I reply.
Delilah nods. "Thank you." She says wiping her face.
"One last thing. Have you been following us?" I ask
She blushes. "Yes."
I look at Jake and I close my eyes.
"Jake, you walk in front. I'll walk behind her." I instruct. Jake nods and turns. He leads us back to the campground, where Stacey and Sophie are sitting, weapons ready. They look at Delilah and then look at me questioningly.
I quickly explain the situation. When I'm done, both girls nod slowly.
"Do you think we should let her stay?" I ask.
"I don't like the idea of her staying with us." Sophie mumbles. "The problem is, if we let her go, she could lead others to us. It isn't safe. If we don't want her in the group, we're going to have to kill her."
Delilah looks at Jake, eyes wide with fear. "Please." She whispers.
"I think we should let her stay." Stacey says slowly. "I don't want another death on my hands."
Jake looks conflicted. "I don't know. How do we know if you are going to lead us into a trap or not?" He questions.
"Please. You have to believe me!" Delilah pleads.
I don't want her to be with us. But we can't let her go. And I'm firmly opposed to killing anybody. I sigh. "You can stay with us. Be aware that we will keep an eye on you constantly, and if we suspect something, we won't think twice about getting rid of you." I threaten. Truth is, I don't know what I would do if I suspected anything. I wouldn't kill her. Jake and the rest wouldn't either.
Delilah nods frantically. "Thank you so much!" She says.
I nod. "We need to get to work. Stacey and Sophie, Delilah will stay here with you two. Keep an eye on her." I say.
Stacey nods and Sophie eyes Delilah warily, but eventually nods. Jake grabs my hand. All of a sudden a loud boom of the cannon goes off. I tense up.
I just hope it isn't Jason. I look at Jake and we go off, in search of more supplies.
